Has the Government Shutdown inconvenienced you?

Just curious how the government shutdown is directly effecting ya'll.
“The way I see it, every time a man gets up in the morning he starts his life over. Sure, the bills are there to pay, and the job is there to do, but you don't have to stay in a pattern. You can always start over, saddle a fresh horse and take another trail.” ― Louis L'Amour

I don't rely or depend on any of the Gov departments or agencies that are subject to the shutdown. That Includes the IRS.  I don't use withholdings as a savings account and as such rarely receive a refund more that a few dollars.

That being said I am unaffected by the shutdown.

Badly framed question for any air travelers (esp. those of us who are TSA-Pre).  We've been able to access the TSA's "service", but have been inconvenienced, nonetheless, by longer lines and lack of separate TSA-Pre lines.  (They did give us a coupon to turn in so we didn't need to take off our shoes or light jackets going through the normal line, but we will had to take our laptops, tablets and liquids out of our carry-ons which we wouldn't have in a separate TSA-Pre line).
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

I talked to our USDA guy in his office the other day.  No effect.

I flew during the shutdown, the lines in the TSA were not any longer than they usually are.

For me no.

I'll take that as a good sign meaning if they provide the same service with fewer people they don't need more people back.

Personally none yet, but I have a friend who is a truck driver who can't get his Federal Haz Mat transport license renewed. He has been put on hold for about 3 weeks as he isn't authorized to drive for any of his clients (O2 tanks) until that is squared away. He doesn't work for that government but he needs his license from the US DOT to work.

Has the Government Shutdown inconvenienced you?

I'll say. I got people on a so called Right Wing forum asking if the lack of government is cramping my style.

Too bad there wasn't a choice that says you wish the whole shittin' mess would shutdown permanently.

Interesting. That's tough, they ought to push out the expiration dates till after the shut down is over. Idaho did that for everybody's drivers licences when their new computer system went toes up for a while. I'm surprised it doesn't go through the state DOT, I though most of the testing and licensing was done on the state level.

I'm not a trucker, are weigh-stations open?
