FBI tried to 're-engage' dossier writer after it started anti-Trump probe
British ex-spy behind infamous report had already been fired by bureau for misconduct
By Rowan Scarborough - The Washington Times - Updated: 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019After FBI chieftains targeted President Trump as a possible Russian agent in May 2017, they also reached out to an old informant, ex-British spy Christopher Steele, creator of the much-disputed election-year dossier, according to new congressional testimony.
The testimony from former Associate Attorney General Bruce Ohr showed Mr. Steele continued to brief the Justice Department well into the term of special counsel Robert Mueller, until at least November 2017.
Mr. Steele’s information was then conveyed to the FBI, suggesting Mr. Steele was feeding the Mueller team indirectly or directly.
Also, Mr. Ohr briefed Mr. Steele’s accusations to then FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and his counsel Lisa Page in August 2016. Days earlier, the FBI opened a probe into the Trump campaign on suspected Russia collusion.
The FBI used Mr. Steele’s dossier as the primary piece of evidence to convince a judge to approve a yearlong wiretap on Trump volunteer Carter Page. . . ,

In Oct 2016, Christopher Steele working for the DNC disclosed information to David Corn (yes, that Valerie Plame David Corn) that was published in Mother Jones. For that, he was fired as an informant. He left his DNC job with Fusion GPS only to be hired by Penn Quarter, another Democrat Party front group. He was then called back in by the FBI to feed information into the Müller investigation - information coming directly from the Democrat Party. This continued until Nov 2017.
Seriously, people. This is far beyond Watergate. People should be going to prison over this for a very very long time. And Müller should recognize that his investigation has been compromised for well over a year, and dissolve his team lest he face charges himself.
