DES MOINES, Iowa—California billionaire and activist Tom Steyer said his political agenda is centered on the idea of undoing the Reagan coalition and legacy, making those remarks just hours before he was set to make a "major announcement" regarding his political future as rumors continue to build that he is preparing for a presidential run.

"I'm not just some partisan, blind partisan," he said shortly after introductory small talk.

Tom's an utter moron. Reagan's legacy has been long undone in California and anyone who cannot see that the state is spinning down the commode fast, let alone wishes that for the rest of the nation, should not be allowed to handle sharp objects much less the presidency.

It's fascinating to read about fabulously wealthy people who are liberals. I'm sure they all believe they're fighting for a better, fairer society.
In effect, they're working hard to lose their wealth. If the people who now run the Dem Party eventually take over completely,  we'll be Venezuela Norte. Steyer and other billionaires can kiss their fortunes goodbye. All the virtue-signaling he's doing now won't help him one bit.  He'll just be another white rich person who really didn't earn that money.  When the socialists say "gimme!" at gunpoint, he'll be as poor as everybody else in the socialist "paradise."

Obviously they aren't students of history. If you're a rich guy hoping to lead the charge towards a socialist utopia you'd better be more cunning & ruthless than ideological, because if you're not it'll be your head that'll likely wind up on a platter.

I remember reading about Lenin and the Bolsheviks during the early days of the commie revolution in Russia. Lenin regarded some wealthy benefactors, like Joseph  and Mary Fels of Fels-Naphtha,  as nothing more than useful fools. Needless to say, any wealthy people who stayed in Russia after the revolution either had their wealth totally expropriated, were thrown into prison, or were shot.  Ditto in China when Mao took over.
