GOP moves to prevent shutdown with stopgap spending bill
By Alexander Bolton - 12/19/18 10:29 AM EST

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Wednesday he will move a stopgap measure funding the government until early February.

The measure if passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump would prevent a partial shutdown set to begin Saturday, and would fund government departments and agencies through Feb. 8.

It will keep funding for border fencing flat, and punt a showdown on that issue until next year — when Trump will have less leverage with Democrats in control of the House.

So instead of actually passing a budget that takes us through the remainder of the fiscal year, these stupid-ass gutless quisling Republicans are perfectly willing to let a Democrat House do that instead?  What in the hell is wrong with these cowards?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

They folded.  Trump's comment that he's proud to shut down the government for border security is now a laughing joke.  Only the joke is now on his supporters.
Romans 12:16-21

They folded.

They folded on Jan 5, 2011 - the day they took control of the House.  They folded every time they voted for continued funding of Obamacare.  They folded when they voted to do away with the debt ceiling, giving Obama a blank check to spend whatever he wanted.  And they folded when they refused to pass a budget for each department on time, choosing instead to pass a temporary measure that expired just before the election, giving Democrats a powerful last-minute campaign tool.  They folded when they voted to give Planned Parenthood a half a billion dollars to funnel directly into Democrat Party campaigns.

These Republicans are stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.  And they are just as much traitors to the Republic as are Democrats.

We don't have budgets.  I can't remember the last time we ever had a real budget.  All we have are spending bills.

As a guy who supposedly is a success in business -- why doesn't Trump demand that these stupid, lazy louts lock themselves in a room and not come out till they pass a real budget?  Does he run his businesses without a budget?

 :amen:

And now I have to recognize I'm the fool for supporting them as they kept asking for more support.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi just released a statement saying Democrats will support the continuing resolution Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced earlier today.

The exact timing of the vote in the Senate is unknown, and so is the timing of the vote in the House.
