In early October, we learned that former Detroit Lions general manager Matt Millen stepped away from his job as a game analyst for the Big Ten Network to further focus on his health.

NBCSports.com's Peter King has shed some light on what Millen has been doing since.

In his Football Morning in America column published on Monday, King reports that since Oct. 3, when the BTN announced Millen was stepping down, the 60-year-old former linebacker-turned-TV analyst-turned-football executive has been under hospital care in New Jersey.

I hope he can recover. I remember when he was a big star with the Raiders, played for Penn State also.

Yes, he was a big part of the Raiders back when they were good.
