President Trump's referred to Rep. Adam Schiff, R-Calif., as "Adam Schitt" on Sunday, setting Twitter alight as pundits quickly pointed out the similarity between "Schitt" and an expletive.

"So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved by the Senate!" Trump tweeted shortly after the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee appeared on ABC News' "This Week."

Yeah, because it isn't like Presidents didn't call people "Half-breeds" and "Fathered by Mulattoes" before.

Higher standards are great... except if/when your side is getting beat down and defeated by an enemy that couldn't care LESS about standards of any kind.... but uses the lowest standards they can dredge up.   It's been two solid years of that constant attack and BS from the left against Trump and any and all Republicans, Conservatives or anyone not on the rabid, idiot left.  I think it's time for a change in strategy, since having and displaying ""higher standards"" isn't working worth a Schitt.

Maybe looking at elected representatives as average people rather than as noblemen is a good thing. After all, what matters is are they effective.

On the other hand, this kind of thing gives many people the vapors and we need to keep the WH for another term. So he should probably dial it back.

The fastest way to take wind out of his sales is to turn him into an embarrassing laughing stock. This does it quite well. Now he has a nickname that is easy to use.......just like Lyin' Ted, Crooked Hillary, Little Marco and Low Energy Jeb!
