Manchin: We're 'on the verge' of a constitutional crisis due to Sessions's firing
By Justin Wise - 11/08/18 11:35 AM EST

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said Thursday that the U.S. is on the "verge" of a constitutional crisis because of the forced resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

"I think it’s a big mistake to let Sessions go," Manchin, who was the only Democratic senator to vote to confirm the former attorney general, said on "CBS This Morning."

Manchin voted for Kavanaugh and the same day Cocaine Mitch told Manchin they’re coming for his seat. Stupid. Manchin was re-elected even with Trump stumping for Morissey. Manchin now has no incentive to vote GOP when we need him.

Why would we need him? The Rats don't control the Senate.

Good point.

No it's not. Manchin has been a Leftist voter up until he needs to get reelected. He is not reliable in the least.

I don’t recall anything about a special counsel in the constitution.  So, what crisis?  Would there be political fallout from firing him?  Sure.  Is the constitution violated or threatened?  No.

It’s a really tired refrain.

I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

We didn’t know we would maintain control until Tuesday; Cocaine Mitch announced the day of the Kavanaugh vote. Additionally, Manchin was not the Hill upon which to die. It was a waste of money that could have been spent in other places like Arizona.

Or maybe Manchin just doesn't have to worry about losing his seat anymore.

No. It's always worth trying to flip that seat. Every election that state gets redder.
