Republicans and high-profile donors are abandoning Steve King after years of racial insensitivity, and his reelection is suddenly in jeopardy
Joe Perticone

...

WASHINGTON — Republican Rep. Steve King has come under fire many times for making racist statements or racially insensitive gestures.

But the most recent case is unlike the countless others from years' past. King's party leaders are publicly rebuking his words and actions, and several high-profile donors have dropped their support for him.

In the past year, King has endorsed a white nationalist running for mayor of Toronto in Canada, repeatedly retweeted white supremacist accounts on Twitter, and parroted Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban's remarks that "mixing cultures will not lead to a higher quality of life but a lower one."

A slew of articles adds more details to see exactly what he has said. One must be careful how they state things.

Purina, Intel, and Land O' Lakes ditch support for Rep. Steve King after inflammatory comments
AT&T and Tyson Foods are being pressured to pull their financial support for a congressman who embraces white nationalism.

Corporate donors continue to pull their financial support for controversial Republican Rep. Steve King of Iowa due to the eight-term congressman's inflammatory comments, especially in light of the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre that left 11 people dead.

Dairy giant Land O' Lakes announced Tuesday it was axing financial contributions to the political campaign for King — up for re-election on Nov. 6 — who has voiced support for white nationalism and retweeted Nazi propaganda.

Amid calls on social media to boycott the company's products, Nestlé-owned pet food maker Purina tweeted on Tuesday that it would no longer support King, adding that his “recent statements are in conflict with our values.”

I read an article a few weeks ago about his opponent, J.D. Scholten,  barnstorming the district.

Up only 1 point per a poll published 2 days ago: https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/413787-poll-steve-king-leading-dem-opponent-by-1-point

Other articles, not much room for error with King.

One needs to be careful, even in how one says things.

The opponent, J.D. Scholten actually played some pro-baseball as a relief picture. It doesn't look like he ever pitched in the big leagues, MLB that is but definitely, in the lower leagues.

Driving around the district in his own RV I believe.

He's serious about winning.

Dennis Prager sometimes, goes on how we take our system from Europe, maybe better said the English system per political representation but if one doesn't say it right, really, one can be portrayed in various ways.
