Divine Wind.

Hopefully, lots of Divine rain and wind!

Is there a map with a caravan tracker that can be superimposed onto the hurricane tracker map?

You realize this is how handed-down stories ended up in the Bible, don't you?

 :2popcorn:

The GD fence should have already been built by now.

Except DC that it is not built.  Even IF we had a fence, Trump has agreed to allow these people to apply for asylum in Mexico and allow the UN to determine who will be granted asylum and who wont.  Once they are granted asylum they will be placed in a host country; including the U.S.  So ... right now the 'GD fence' as you put it would be absolutely futile.

If you find one let me know ... also ... it would make for a heck of a video game ... see how many illegals you can knock out with a hurricane or tropical storm!   :rolling:

There is no denying it's a 5 right now.  Last I looked, sustained winds of 160, gusts to 195.

There has never been a hurricane on the Pacific's east coast thats made landfall as a cat 5. Only 3 cat 5 hurricanes have eventually made landfall at all - one as a tropical storm. What we're seeing here is pretty unusual.

This has the potential of severely impacting the so-called "caravan."  It's not getting much coverage (It's now a Cat 5), but I always watch the Pacific storms, because they sometimes make it up into AZ.

Is the "caravan" that far north?  I thought they just crossed into Mexico.

Here is a map of the historic caravans, originating in S. America.  If this is even half-way accurate, these people are in serious trouble if they keep going.

That's my understanding too...just crossed into Mexico.  The press reports of the movements through Honduras and El Salvador show insane rates of travel...>130 miles per day.  The press desperately wants a US border showdown before the election, and I think these storms may make that impossible.

I expect they will miss the rain, but the countryside may be devastated from the aftermath.  Mudslides, highways and rail wiped out.

They better settle in to Cancun or Acapulco.  I hear those places are so nice that Americans vacation there.

I expect this to weaken before landfall.  We'll know tonight.

Meanwhile, there is a Tropical Storm hitting Mexico south of this named "Vicente."  They both bear watching.

Hmm, it does look like it will reach the caravan of illegals.  I feel sorry for the kids/babies the illegals brought with them, but something needs to turn them away from Texas.  Maybe this storm will do that.

Used to be....I know the cruise ships have greatly curtailed their trips to the "Mexican Riviera" (Pacific coast).

If there were no storms, I'd expect them to show up in welcoming California.  I think that's what they did in March.  I doubt these pawns have been told there's bad weather.  There is very little coverage of the storms on the MSM.

In spite of what the media wants us to believe they ain't walking - and there's no way to move the numbers they need to make an impact without rail lines. And there can't be more than a couple of those, which will be impacted by the weather.

Just speculating, but it seems even a weeks delay for this many migrants in Mexico will create quite a crisis.

They will be stripping the countryside like locusts at a time the locals will be begging for relief.  I thank God I am nowhere near that likely disaster area.  The Mexicans will not be kind to looters.  Especially the cartels.

You hit the nail on the head "something needs to turn them away".  Why isn't our President turning them away?

Ummmm...because sending troops into a sovereign nation to arrest/shoot people is technically an act of War?  Just thinking out loud here.

I've had to watch Hurricane's for my work for a couple of decades, and I can't remember a Cat 5 storm only producing "1-2" inches of rain a couple of hundred miles inland.  This seems suspect.

Crossing a mountain range tends to disrupt a tropical weather.

HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
RAINFALL:  Vicente or its remnants are expected to produce 3 to 6
inches of rain with local amounts to 10 inches through today over
portions of Guerrero, Michoacan, Colima, and Jalisco in Mexico.
This rainfall could produce life-threatening flash flooding and
landslides within mountainous terrain.

HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
STORM SURGE:  An extremely dangerous storm surge is likely along
portions of the coast of southwestern Mexico in southern Sinaloa
and Nayarit, especially near and to the south of where the center of
Willa makes landfall. Near the coast, the surge will be accompanied
by large and destructive waves.

RAINFALL:  Willa is expected to produce storm total rainfall
accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, with local amounts to 18 inches,
across portions of western Jalisco, western Nayarit, southern
Sinaloa, and far southern Durango in Mexico. This rainfall will
cause life-threatening flash flooding and landslides.

Farther inland, Willa is expected to produce rainfall amount of
2 to 4 inches across the rest of Durango and portions of Zacateca,
southeast Chihuahua, and Coahuila, with local amounts to 6 inches
possible. This rainfall could cause life-threatening flash flooding.

WIND:  Hurricane conditions are expected on Las Islas Maria today,
and within the hurricane warning area along the coast of mainland
Mexico beginning this afternoon.  Tropical storm conditions are
occurring on Las Islas Marias, and tropical storm conditions will
spread northward along the coast of mainland Mexico within the
warning area today.

SURF:  Large swells generated by Willa will continue to affect
portions of the coast of southwestern and west-central mainland
Mexico, and the coast of the southern Baja California peninsula
Swells during the next day or two.  These swells are likely to cause
life-threatening surf and rip current conditions. Please consult
products from your local weather office.

I know that, and it typically generates bucket loads of rain, even 100's of miles in every direction.  Hence why only a 1-2" forecast.

6 AM NHC Update-  This seems a little more plausible, so I hope you understand.

You are highlighting spot locations and comparing to the overall.

1~2 inches versus 2~4 inches does not sound like a great difference in forcast.
