Added to the guilt trip coming from the media is one from the Catholic Church.  There was an interview with some clergyman who repeated the church's previous position that we Americans have to take these people in, or we aren't good Christians.  I used to be a Catholic and had at one point considered returning to the church.  But the church's constant guilt trip on its members is wearying.

This is not Catholic Doctrine, this is the rantings of a few ultra liberal clergy. According to the Catholic Catechism, you owe support to your family first, and then if you are able and want to help others according to your ability. I forget exactly which paragraphs that is in but it is around 1900- 2100, dealing with the 4th Commandment. Like Demoncrats there is a lot of liberal Clergy that like to quote the CC out of context.

There are two hurricanes moving into Mexico from the Pacific this week!  Vicente is presently a Tropical Storm, and will be making landfall in the southern part of Mexico.  But a bigger enchilada is Willa to the north and is presently a Cat 5 packing 165 MPH winds.  Willa was expected to stay Cat2 or 3, but unexpectedly spun up to a strong 5.  Her track is forecast to sweep all the way across Mexico to the Gulf of Mexico around Brownsville. 

Both will be making landfall tomorrow night.  I wonder if these invaders thought to bring raincoats?

2009,  the Obama admin. with Hillary as SOS finagled with the leadership of Honduras. Some say, they helped put a vile dictatorship in place.  Looks complicated, I vaguely remember the story.

This exodus comes at a time of extraordinary tensions even for Honduras, a country still reeling from the effects of a coup d’état in 2009. A highly contested presidential election in November drew thousands of demonstrators to the streets, where at least 22 protesters and bystanders were killed, most of them bysecurity forces.

It looks like this is going to be repeated here, but the storming will be across "the sands" of the southern border.

Folks, there's nothing that can stop this now EXCEPT by the display (and possibly use) of military force.

Seems like Kelley in the White House may have been doing his best to dissuade Mr. Trump from sending troops to the border. I sense that John Bolton was promoting the idea (I could be wrong about that). But really, it's Mr. Trump's decision; if he ORDERS the commanders to do what they have to, they will do so.

"He should call the Mexican president and tell him if these people get within a 100 miles of our border the U.S military will cross the Rio Grande and create a buffer zone.  Then close the border and halt all money transfers to Mexico."

Exactly. And if the Mexican president says he will resist the presence of such troops, well, fine -- let the shooting start.
I predict any "war" with Mexico and Mexican troops will be over in about 30 minutes.

ONE THING I'M ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN OF (and the shouting is intentional):
If these invaders get through, it will be only weeks (or a couple of months) before THE NEXT "march northward" begins, perhaps with many more thousands.

Sounds good.  However, you are forgetting one important issue.  Pompeo and Trump have already agreed to allow the invaders to apply for asylum in Mexico and allow the UN to determine who will be granted asylum and they will be placed in host countries; with the U.S. being one of the hosts.

So ... so far all this talk about calling in the military, national guard etc., has been lip service. Yes, I'm waiting for Trump to make good on what he says.  So far ... the invasion continues.

So he withholds money.  What good does that do?  Nearly 10,000 are either en route or already here.  That's not going to do squat to stop these people.
