Caravan migrants break Guatemala border fence, rush Mexico
Associated Press, Oct 19, 2018
TECUN UMAN, Guatemala (AP) — Migrants traveling in a mass caravan burst through a Guatemalan border fence and streamed by the thousands toward Mexican territory on Friday, defying Mexican authorities’ entreaties for an orderly crossing and U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats of retaliation.

On the Mexican side of a border bridge, they were met by a phalanx of police with riot shields. About 50 managed to push their way through before officers unleashed pepper spray and the rest retreated.

The gates were closed again, and police used a loudspeaker to address the masses, saying, “We need you to stop the aggression.”

Mexican federal police chief Manelich Castilla, speaking from the border town of Ciudad Hidalgo, told Foro TV that his forces achieved their main objective of preventing a violent breach by the 3,000-plus migrants. In a separate interview with Milenio television, he accused people not part of the caravan of attacking police with firecrackers and rocks.

“It will be under the conditions that have been said since the start,” Castilla said. “Orderly, with established procedures, never through violence or force as a group of people attempted.”

The chaos calmed somewhat as migrants formed lines in a mass of humanity stretching across the bridge. Some returned to the Guatemalan side to buy water and food.

We need to go after who is funding and organizing this and charge them with human trafficking or whatever else may apply.

I hope whatever they were paid is worth it. Their current living conditions don't look very nice (but at least they're not starving, to say the least).

Update (1800ET): As a surge of migrants broke through a steel fence that had been padlocked shut...

CNN reports Mexican police in riot gear pushed them back, setting off smoke canisters, and Buzzfeed reports the use of tear gas.

Hundreds of Mexican Federal Police sealed the border as drones and helicopters hovered above the crowd, which waited on a bridge in sweltering heat...

The chaos calmed somewhat as migrants formed lines in a mass of humanity stretching across the bridge. Some returned to the Guatemalan side to buy water and food.

“Today, violent tides are trying to enter Mexico and they have hurt Mexican police. We did not use armed forces because we offered the obligation to help, “ Mexican Interior Secretary, Alfonso Navarrete Prida told Mexican Milenio television.

At least a dozen migrants stuck on the bridge have jumped into the river below.  ... More, plus photos

As expected the government of Mexico put up

token resistance at their southern border (video laughable) and allows thousands of economic migrants passage to the U.S. Mexico border.

Rebuking the strongly worded demands of President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo the insufferable Mexican Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray tells media his country will now call on the United Nations to intervene.   Yes, it’s up to the U.N. now….   More at Flopping Aces

Welcome to America's future - as previously seen in Europe just recently.

Notice any similarities with what you see above?

It's an invasion army.

Get Abrams and Apaches on line and get the 214th R-Squadron up there with the 190th AS in full load-out support with weapons-free ROE:

There are enough Jihadists mixed in with that mob to warrant putting real fear into them.

’We are hungry!” Migrants wail at Mexico-Guatemala border
Associated Press, Oct 20, 2018

TECUN UMAN, Guatemala (AP) — A standoff between thousands of Central American migrants trying to reach the United States and Mexican police stretched through the night with some migrants hanging from the closed border gate wailing “there are children here” while others slept on the crowded bridge linking Guatemala to Mexico.

Members of the caravan of more than 3,000 migrants had earlier burst through a Guatemalan border fence and rushed onto the bridge over the Suchiate River, defying Mexican authorities’ entreaties for an orderly crossing and U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats of retaliation.

But they were met Friday by a wall of police with riot shields on the Mexican side of the bridge. About 50 managed to push their way through before officers unleashed pepper spray and the rest retreated, joining the sea of humanity on the bridge.

Police and immigration agents began letting small groups of 10, 20 or 30 people through the gates if they wanted to apply for refugee status. Once they file a claim, they can go to a shelter to spend the night.

As night fell on the bridge, the migrants’ frustration turned to despair as women clutching small children took up the rows in front of the gate pleading with the Mexican federal police. Some migrants yelled “We are hungry!” Others wailed that they had children while others set up tarps to prepare for the night sleeping on the increasingly dirty and befouled bridge.

“Please, it is night. Let us pass,” Alba Luz Giron Ramirez, a former shop employee and mother of three, pleaded to the officers.

Giron said they had come from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and that gangs had killed her brother and threatened her.

“We want them to give us permission to go to Mexico,” her 5-year-old son Ramon said in a child’s voice. “We wouldn’t stay.”

Alison Danisa wept as she knelt in the garbage already piling up on the bridge, clutching her naked 11-month-old infant to her breast.

“We have suffered so much. She has a fever and we brought nothing,” she said, showing the baby’s bare bottom to indicate they had no diapers.

A Mexican marine official with a loudspeaker approached the gate and told migrants they would be taken in trucks to “a humanitarian attention center” in Tapachula, a border city in the Mexican state of Chiapas. But the official did not say when this would happen.

These are the same people trying to leave their sh*thole countries who were  primarily responsible for making them sh*thole countries. They want to do the same thing here.

Worse.  It's a paid mercenary invasion army.

Why is this so hard for some to understand? Honduras is just a spot on the map like any other. Its the human inhabitants that make it suck so badly.

UN calls on Mexico, US to respect migrants
Associated Press, Oct 19, 2018

4:30 p.m.

The U.N. special investigator on the human rights of migrants has a message for the Mexican and U.S. governments: Respect the human rights of every person on the caravan heading from Central America and consider each case individually.

Felipe Gonzalez Morales told a news conference at U.N. headquarters in New York on Friday that "there cannot be massive collective expulsions, for instance, in violation of international law."

Some 3,000 migrants are currently trying to enter Mexico from Guatemala and hope to get to the U.S.

Gonzalez said that in destination countries there has been a trend toward "xenophobia" which has left many migrants fearing to go into public spaces or tribunals "for fear of being attacked or not taken seriously."

He said Mexico and the United States should establish channels for "regular migration."

Gonzalez said he requested an official visit to the United States in March but has not received a response from the Trump administration.

3:45 p.m.

The head of Mexico's federal police says the first two buses have arrived at the Mexico-Guatemala border crossing so that immigration officials can take women, children and seniors away to be processed safely.

Manelich Castilla tells Milenio TV it is part of their plan to process the 3,000 some migrants who are trying to enter Mexico from Guatemala.

But at the bridge migrants, who have formed orderly lines, are refusing to board the buses fearing that they will simply be deported.

Some are chanting "Walk! Walk!" insisting that they prefer to continue on foot.

Manelich also blamed people who were not part of the caravan for attacking police with powerful firecrackers and rocks.

So they'd be safer then in their home countries.

Strange. They wish to live in a country where "white supremacy" keeps all non-whites down. Why do they wish to come here with all the nasty white racists not allowing non-whites to prosper?
Sure is puzzling.
