CNN announces that Collins will vote yes.   Manchin will now likely follow - maybe that other guy can now enjoy the reception following his daughter's wedding.

Enter Joe Manchin...

He'll say he's going to abstain so that the GOP Senator can go to his daughter's wedding. That way, he'll weasel completely out of voting.

Manchin is voting yes. Just breaking.

Why can't they take the vote tonight?

From what I've read/heard, even after they vote for cloture, Senate rules still allow for 30 hours of debate before the final vote.
Let it burn.

Just waiting now.... for Janice Dickinson to come out and state that Brett Kavanaugh raped her (after Cosby), too.

They've gotta find somebody fast and Janice is always 'up' for a gig like that.

You have to chuckle at Mitch coming out of that pre-speech meeting with Collins saying he was "optimistic".

Note to self -- do not play poker against Mitch McConnell.

So...it's Aye.  What a windbag.  I could have made a sandwich.

It was partly her delivery that made it so tedious.  And I do wish she hadn't complimented DiFi but it may have contained a sly, lisping dig.

And I wish I hadn't had it on Fox because immediately after she finished the Two Stooges came on:  Chris Wallace and Sheppy.

Amen, @mystery-ak   I am totally happy about that.  This whole thing has upset me more than I should have let it.

Wait, what?  Now Cosby is claiming Brett Kavanaugh raped him???
