OK, with Flake and Collins, we have 50 votes, providing that idiot Daines from Montana shows up. Mike Pence makes 51. Manchin can vote yes or no, will not matter.

Don't go raisin' yer glasses for a toast yet.
The votes aren't counted until tomorrow night or Sunday.

Even then, hold those glasses down until John Roberts swears in Judge Kavanaugh and Mr. Trump shakes his hand.

Addendum:
Manchin says "aye".
We're gettin' closer...!

I'm wondern' if Mitch made Manchin "an offa he can't refuse"?
Also, I'll guess that Murkowski had counted on Collins and Flake saying "no". Looks like she has made herself into persona non grata by jumpin' the shark too soon!

Red senators from states with blue governors better have lots of security.  A horde of malcontents will be bussed to DC for tomorrow's session.  With the provocative language the dems are using, you just never know.

Yes.

There is still room for a dirty trick.
1. Watch for the democrats to end debate EARLIER than 30 hours - so that the scheduled vote occurs while Sen. Daines is walking his daughter down the aisle.
2. Then delay one republican senator through a massive dirty trick...traffic accident, kidnapped family member, etc.
3. Voting is in alphabetical order. Manchin comes after Collins and Flake. Manchin sees what is happening and votes "no".

51 republicans minus MurCOWski, Daines and the delayed senator = 48

The next argument we'll here from the Libs is that he's illegitimate due to the fact that the confirmation vote will end up being so close.

Much in the same way they try to delegitimize any 5-4 decision the court makes.

It won't matter what they screech, squeal, scream or say at this point.  It's a done deal.

Perhaps a stupid question here, but can't the Republicans end debate earlier than 30 hours? Like tonight?

Why would they want to or need to?   All it means is that the Democrats will continue to rehash the same old tired and worn stuff that has already been said, ad nauseam.  Let them "debate".  It's all over but the left's screeching ....cue Rosie O' (fat lady) for the DNC swan song.

They are already demanding he recuse himself from any case involving Democrats.

Less time for anyone to Flake and like the posters above, I'd really like Daines there.

Gee, if that were the precedent, we could get the other half (the leftie half) of the USSC to recuse themselves from anything involving the GOP.  Which would effectively negate the purpose of having the USSC.  Hilarious how, as usual, the idiot left tries to change the rules of the game to suit ONLY their side.

Flake and Collins have both gone on record to say how they will vote.  I'm not worried and you shouldn't be either, at this point, and considering the events of today.  It's shaping up to have been a very good day.

He should comply right after Kagan and the wise Latina do that in cases involving republicans.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

We were assured Kagan would judge the Obastardcare case fairly, right before she voted to uphold the law she personally defended before the SCOTUS.
