Kavanaugh to address sexual misconduct allegations on Fox News Monday

Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump's embattled Supreme Court nominee, will appear along with his wife on Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum" on Monday night, according to the network.

During the interview, "Judge Kavanaugh will address the allegations of sexual misconduct he is facing, including the new accusation from his former Yale classmate Deborah Ramirez who came forward over the weekend," reads the Fox News announcement.

"He will also address the upcoming hearing on Thursday in which one of his accusers, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, will testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the effect these claims have had on his family."

"Additionally, Judge Kavanaugh’s wife, Ashley Estes Kavanaugh, will speak publicly for the first time about the allegations that her husband is facing," it adds.

Watched a couple of Clips of the interview on The Five...Kavanaugh better show a little more emotion in his delivery Thursday....He was very measured and calculating...Like Waters said If I was being accused I would be more adamant.

Of course, CNN and Juan Williams on Fox are smearing him for this interview. Imagine condemning a man for defending himself against a filthy conspiracy to destroy him. I  am so glad he's doing the interview, but I don't expect a lot of emotion.

Watching this I was thinking this is a great practice run.  He's also trying not to get into the politics ... which the hostess babe keeps bringing him back to, so again, needed practice.  I'm sure he and his attorneys are going over this frame by frame...

Martha's stupid question- should anything a person did at 17 follow them their whole life? He didn't take the bait and said he wants a fair process and a chance to defend himself.

He also declined to address a question about where the allegations are coming from.

His presentation and lack of strong vocals. No booming voice, but Kavanaugh is who he is. I thought he did well.

It was apparent that Kavanaugh and his wife are on the same page. A few glances between them gave some insight into how painful this is and how they've dealt with it together. I feel terrible for her and their girls.

I think it was good he was like this.  It will lull them into a false sense of security for Thursday. I expect him to come out guns blazing then.
