A woman from Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh's teenage past claims he and a high school classmate once held her down in a locked room while he covered her mouth and tried to force himself on her sexually.

The bombshell charge, which Kavanaugh flatly denied on Friday, followed 24 hours of speculation about what Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein vaguely called 'information' that she had handed to the FBI.

The alleged teenage party incident was described in a letter from the unnamed woman to Democratic Rep. Anna Eshoo, her California congresswoman. Eshoo passed it to Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the rancorous Senate Judiciary Committee that is weighing Kavanaugh's nomination.

In a statement, Kavanaugh told The New Yorker: 'I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.'

The classmate said of the allegation, 'I have no recollection of that.' The woman declined The New Yorker's interview request.

The specifics, however, are riveting. The woman claims in her letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate, both of whom had been drinking, turned up the volume of music in the room so her cries of protest couldn't be heard outside. In her telling of the story, she managed to escape the room.

She also says the memory of the incident drove her to seek psychological treatment.

No, no, wait. The offense alleged here is serious, much more than Kavanaugh and a pal locking a female classmate in a room or whatever, as was claimed yesterday. And Farrow’s track record (he co-wrote the piece with Obama apologist Jane Mayer) will lend it a patina of credibility to readers.

But the evidence is thin as can be.

    The woman, who has asked not to be identified, first approached Democratic lawmakers in July, shortly after Trump nominated Kavanaugh. The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her. She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. Although the alleged incident took place decades ago and the three individuals involved were minors, the woman said that the memory had been a source of ongoing distress for her, and that she had sought psychological treatment as a result.

    In a statement, Kavanaugh said, “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”

    Kavanaugh’s classmate said of the woman’s allegation, “I have no recollection of that.”

In apparent response to an alleged letter from an alleged unnamed individual reportedly provided to unnamed “federal investigative authorities” on Thursday, 65 women who say they knew U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh during their contemporaneous high school years signed a letter Friday to U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-IA) vouching for his “character and integrity,” among other attributes.


The Sixth Amendment provides for an accused to have the ability to face his or her accuser(s).  Feinstein has said the alleged Kavanaugh accuser “declined to come forward or press the matter further.”

They are getting tremendous pressure from their left-wing base to stop him from getting  on the court at all costs. Many of these Democrats see were long established Democrat politicians are  losing primary elections to extreme leftist.  They are aware that their antics are hurting their image in the eyes of the public at least in the short term. But they will deal with that  at a later time

The thing about  "these crimes" are that they put the accused in the position of having to prove they are not guilty without the accusers ever having to go to court to prove their charges.
