Well, this supporter of the President will be pissed as hell if Cruz loses this seat; as I suspect the President will be, too.

Does anyone in Texas know if someone from the Cruz campaign has called the President's office for help?  The President's calendar is filling up.

Yes, Cruz asked about 2 weeks ago or so.
Pence and Sessions were both in Houston, but I don't believe either campaigned for him.
That surprises me a bit that Pence did not.
I guess the AG probably can't, or shouldn't, but I don't know about that for sure.

Much to my dismay @Right_in_Virginia Cruz has already publically extended the President an invitation to come down to Texas on his behalf.
That alone, probably, cost him at least 4% in the polls.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Not surprised Beatoff, the fake Hispanic chickened out. Cruz would mop the floor with him.

No he did not.  Flapping your gums in front of a camera means nothing.  Someone getting on the phone with the President's team and coordinating day, time, venue ... this is being serious about having the President come to Texas on your behalf.

Screw em, It was a bad idea anyway.  Texas will be better off without him.
It's a win win because if Cruz loses he's bolting the GOP for sure, where his talents are wasted anyway and hopefully bringing the few Conservatives left over there with him.

I don't know what this means in the era of Trump, but it used to be that the candidate who refused to a debate was leading and saw less benefit in debating.

It would be a step in the right direction @GrouchoTex

These events take time to coordinate.  Maybe Cruz and his team just aren't aware of this.

We'll see.
He wasn't supposed to beat Dewhurst, either.
I still have hope, but it looks pretty damned close.
