The Almighty created Adam and Eve, who in turn created Abel and Cain, who
in turn created their children and so on for tens of thousands of millennia.
Intuitively, Man's ideas were gifted from the Almighty; whether in Art or Science.
Assuming the cultures/societies of the Fertile Crescent had notions about these
disciplines; good for them and so what!!!
It was the astonishing wisdom of the Greeks who made these ideas/notions
real and tangible; thereby forming the basis for Western civilization.
Dolmens, Stars, Stonehenge and all the rest may be worthy curiosities. So?
W/o Euclid's Geometry modern structure and therefore cities are not possible

I will believe that rot as being 'better', when you (or anyone) can explain the exquisite accuracy and impossible weight of cyclopean construction. Not only can't we explain it, we cannot even begin to move the stones used, and set with an accuracy which has defied time, and so perfectly done that paper will not slide between...

I can.  It's quite simple, actually.  24" Snap-On pry bar, a spray bottle of glass cleaner, and one alligator clip are all that is necessary.

Duct tape.

It's like vice grips, except for chicks.

Speaking of which, I need to get over to Sears and exchange my Craftsman metric vice grips while there's still time.

Any high horse or pretentiousness is your projection.  I was merely addressing you as an intellectual equal and a big boy, which I assume you are.

You cherry-picked your definition of "theory".   Another one might be: " : a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena", or, in my words, our best explanation given the currently known facts.
----------------------------------
Plausible or acceptable or best explanation is emphatically NOT mathematically
verifiable proof and defines the clear distinction between a Law (Motion, Gravity etc.)
and a Theory (Evolution, Relativity etc.) but I have identified the problem and it has
nothing to do w/science.
Rather its one of simple grammar; the meaning of words and is easily corrected w/a
Webster's Dictionary.

You are correct; theories and laws are different.  However, even laws are subject to correction if and when new information comes along.

Interesting take. I read an article about 20 years ago about dark matter and what the author called "dark energy".
He theorized that there was "matter", "anti-matter" and "Dark matter".

You're talking about afrophysics.
