DNC Chair Tom Perez Spotted Carrying $1,840 Designer Bag At Airport After Calling Socialism ‘Future’ Of Party
4:31 PM 07/30/2018
Benny Johnson | Reporter At Large

A sharp-eyed sleuth snapped a picture Friday of Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez at DC’s Reagan National airport. The former Obama secretary of labor was standing in line, carrying a travel bag that looked outside the working man’s budget.

The bag appears to be a Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandoulière 55 Damier Cobalt Canvas bag, which retails at $1,840 on the Louis Vuitton website.

“In Damier Cobalt canvas, Louis Vuitton’s iconic Keepall 55 travel bag is both timelessly elegant and distinctively modern,” the company describes its bag. “The historic design, dating back to the 1930s, remains as sleek and functional as ever. Spacious, lightweight, versatile, the Keepall epitomizes the art of travel.”

If it isn't a $50 Juarez gas station special. You can get knock offs all over the place. That would almost be worse than being spotted carrying a real LV.

Oh, I dunno... I have never paid 50 bucks for a glorified gym bag in my entire life.

You have to be light in the loafers to take that to a mans gym.

LOL, if it is a knock off, the he is paying for a $5 bag and $45 for a label so he can be a poser.

At least with the real thing you know it is hand made with top quality materials that will last a century and can probably resell for close to the original price.

With the knock offs, well, that is just sad.

@AbaraXas

He would probably be dumb enough to go for the knock off.

I award him points, though, for the bag not being THIS kind of LV:

I think mine has Adidas on it, and I bought it off the discount rack at KMarche' thirty years ago... Probably around 15 bucks. Suits me fine.

Does it have a knife and OJ's bloody clothing inside?
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

I don't know why you like brands and what someone is carrying or wearing.
Let me educate you:
I have probably 15 purses/bags (not talking suitcases), and they all come from Sam Moons big store who gets them straight from China.  Have never paid over $20+ dollars and I get comments on them all the time.

Now, get this latest one:
Due to my shoulders/wrists hurting from a medical problem, I had to have the lightest weight purse I could find so I won't put stress on my wrists/shoulders.  We were at a Cracker Barrel restaurant and I saw a handbag; it was with other items for the Dallas Cowboys.  I picked up this bag and it weighed almost nothing and was $20+.  That was the bag I needed.  I looked inside the "purse" and it had a lining to keep in the cold.  IT WAS A SMALL BEER COOLER.  I bought it and am getting favorable comments on it.  One lady said she wanted to buy this purse and where did I get it?  I told her it is a beer cooler with Dallas Cowboys stuff at Cracker Barrel - she is going to buy one!

I would put my Sam Moons purses up against any so called famous LABEL purses.  Especially, my beer cooler purse.

I win money at casinos and give it to people who need it.  Money I could spend on fancy purses is given to people who need it.  Yes, I do have class with God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

You don't think I buy those brands, do you?     When it comes to spending my own money, I don't care about names, but let me tell you, when my MIL cleans out her closet and tells her daughter and me to get over there, and I walk off with a Kate Spade or a Michael Kors or a Chanel, I take that opportunity, lol.

I almost blew diet Mt. Dew on my keyboard when you said it was a beer cooler, lol.  Whatever works!

I will pay relative bank for backpacks and go bags for a similar reason. To wear em all day, they have to ride right. That's all about good suspension, and it makes a huge difference.

I paid 100 bucks for my pack frame and for my 35L go-bag... $150 or so for my 50L pack... and my full pack was somewhere under $500 (I really don't remember)

But 1200 bucks for a high-falutin haversack... That's just plain idiocy.
Sorry... never have understood that kind.  **nononono*

Yeah... I didn't pay none of that no mind. Nothing much past the slo-mo Bronco chase...
