Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) this week repeatedly defended his tweet that implied that America needed to have a military coup to remove President Donald Trump after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump held a summit with Putin on Monday, in which the 45th president declined to directly chastise Putin for allegedly trying to influence the 2016 presidential election, even when asked by an Associated Press (AP) reporter to do so. President Trump blamed the Russia investigation for some of the friction between the two countries.

In response to the summit, Rep. Cohen tweeted on Monday, “Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!”

That sounds like Cohen's first reaction when he heard what Trump said - Cohen was so appalled at Trump's comment, he said that.  I was watching when Trump made his comments about Putin denying they interfered with the election, and couldn't believe what he said.  If I was asked about that right then, I would be speechless, no telling what I would have said to a reporter at that time.

I remember another time I was speechless.  I was the teacher of a Texas fifth grade class.  The principal of the school made a statement over the intercom to all classes.  President John Kennedy was just killed. For a short time, I couldn't speak.  I had to process that in my brain before I could speak.  That announcement came in out of the blue - a jolt to my senses.  Ir a reporter was there, whatever I would have said would have made little sense.

I think that happened to Cohen and that is why he said "military coup" - he was out of his mind at that moment, couldn't comprehend/mentally process, what Trump said.

Cohen has become unhinged.  I don't know much about him ... maybe he was always a nut case, but when I saw him passionately defend that traitorous piece of scum, Peter Strzok, and state that Peter deserves a purple heart, I realized that he'd lost whatever sanity or perspective he ever had.

Trump did well during the Putin conference and he should not have been surprised that a triumph has been painted as a disaster.

Trump will be able to force the whole mess into the open for America.  In the first place, he will be arresting some of the most powerful crooks in the world; the MSM will report the arrests and renditions to Gitmo (along with phony outrage, that will fizzle pretty quickly, I think). 

One of the key features in Trump's plan is reportedly the use of the Emergency Broadcast System to present the horrible facts to the American people.  Most folks will not want to learn this stuff, but shrewdly using the EBS will force the issue of their stupid ignorance.  (People who scoffed at Qanon will become true believers.  Eventually the most sordid facts to be revealed will be crushingly obvious to most Americans.)

All of this is predicated on Trump's survival, alive and in office.  As things stand, I think he will survive.  If he does, he will destroy the Deep State.  And the Deep State knows this.
