Towards the end of the decade there was a nice sub category of music labeled Easy Listening but sorta New Ageish... Enya and a few other artists got thrown in the mix... Then someone got smart and saw a trend and made a lot of money.... Pure Moods cds came out and sold millions... yep millions... I was one that liked the series....



They even ran TV ads like the ones below...

Anyhoo... after their initial run they did a revamp of the same series and made even more off of it....

Below is the double CD revamp of the series which feature a lot of the songs the original series had (But I notice Enya was not included in the revamp)...

Still a great set of songs... if you like the style.

I got this once in the "cutouts", being a poor boy, there are some real good parts and most of it is listenable. A bit of extended listening, King Sunny Ade and his African Beats (Nigeria)....If one reads up on Sonny, I think in recent years, he's become, well, a bit like Kanye West, big into religion. Into Christianity and that seems to be a pretty hot problem in his native Nigeria.  This is probably a bit like Santana for American listeners.

"5 Minutes" is a 1984 single by music act Bonzo Goes To Washington. The tracks lyrics are credited to "The Gipper," a reference to Ronald Reagan's role in "Knute Rockne, All American".
