NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Tubers along the Comal River have had their day spoiled by a smelly – and dangerous - spill.

The New Braunfels Fire Department has confirmed that they are investigating a hydraulic fluid spill into the river.

A railroad work crew working at the rail bridge above Texas Tubes on the Comal River ruptured a hydraulic line, resulting in a spill of approximately 30 gallons of fluid, with a small percentage of the spillage going into the Comal River, according to a post on the City of New Braunfels Facebook page.
