NPR Issues The Most Embarrassing Correction Of All Time
July 1, 2018
Hannah Bleau HAHAHA. Oh man. Where’s Kimber when you need her?
NPR recently had to delete a tweet, because it totally screwed up the translation of a Spanish phrase.
Now, I wouldn’t have noticed this, because I don’t speak Spanish. Pantalones de bobo. That’s all I retained from high school Spanish, and I’m not even sure if THAT’S right. It’s supposed to be “silly pants.†Whatevz.
ANYWHO. The correction at hand. BEHOLD:
We deleted this tweet due to the use of the incorrect Spanish phrase to say "the year of the woman." The phrase is "el año de la mujer." pic.twitter.com/91aLahQ24Y
