Hannity links Maxine Waters's rhetoric to Annapolis shooting

Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday drew a line from comments made by Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters (Calif.) to the deadly shooting at a newspaper in Annapolis, Md.

During his daily radio show "The Sean Hannity Show," the conservative host implied that Waters's call for protesters to confront Trump administration staffers in public had resulted in the shooting, which left at least five dead, according to police.

"I'm not turning this into a gun debate, I know that's where the media will be in 30 seconds from now," Hannity said, addressing the attack.

"That's not it. You know, as I've always said, I mean honestly — I've been saying now for days that something horrible was going to happen because of the rhetoric."

I listened to that segment today live. He drew no such connection.

In fact, he said multiple times he was being careful to separate the two incidents because he knew the media would falsely accuse him of making an allegation of cause and effect.

You people still haven’t learned yet how Leftist media try to smear conservatives? Where have you been?

I heard some of this in the car this afternoon and almost had to pull over out of disgust.

He pulled that old slimy media technique the left always uses is saying: "I'm not implying at all the two things are related BUT..... Then kind of gives the wink and talks about how they could be related. He did this several times covering himself saying he wasn't implying they are related, then talked as thought they are related. He said along the lines of... '...there is evil in this world... And the left is making stuff like this happen, maybe not this incident, but.....'

Classic media crap we usually complain about. The kind of 'I'm not implying but...' stuff Chris Mathews would use against President Bush.

I hope the full transcript is availay to post pretty soon.

And.... you probably don't already have an anti-Hannity bias like they do.  It does make a difference.  I haven't heard the segment, but I DO admit to having an anti-leftist bias, so until I do hear that particular segment....

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they probably did what they always do.  Lie.

That said..... drawing a correlation from all of the pro-incitement (pro-harassment/pro-stalking) rhetoric to any violence that occurs henceforth....seems like a no-brainer to me......anti-Hannity bias aside.  Especially since we already know how many unhinged wackos are out there just waiting to act on any "encouragement" they may read or hear.

This is one reason I respect Dana Loesch.  She was on-air when the shooting happened, but as usual she refused to even speculate on who might have done it or motive.  She reports that information only when it's been proven confirmed.
