I just got this message from Twitter

I had just posted an innocuous comment on Twitter about how it's not a good idea to alienate half your potential customers by refusing to serve them on the basis of their political affiliation, and got this message when I tried to refresh the Twitter feed:

I clicked on "start" and it was one of those things to click to affirm not being a robot. Then I got a message about not violating Twitter rules. Seriously, this is the apparently offensive tweet that led to it:

It just means some people reported your post. it's the beauty of Twitter and Facebook. "Hate" is defined as "A large number of clicks saying something was offensive". The liberals just have a mob of people watching the site and reporting anything that isn't 100% supportive.

Yep you are on probation.  Your post are being filtered and some will not even show. 

Think of it as a FR soft ban.

Weird.  I post all sorts of much more pointed tweets, and, so far, no bans.  But, I suspect that unless you have me on "follow" you won't see my tweets.

Twitter is backlashing.  Tons of social media blasting that stupid restaurant owner in VA.  Any negative comments about her actions are triggering this.

You're probably being shadow banned.  Dana Loesch is/was, as well, along with a lot of people, famous and otherwise.  Keep an eye on your follower count to see if it drops or disappears completely.

Is Twitter the modern version of thumb war? I personally do not engage in any social media, the only facebook account in the household is held by my dog, it's the only way he can see his breed page. You wouldn't believe the number of friend requests he receives when he checks in every couple of months.

I suspect what happened was Twitter has that business' account flagged. Based on the number of comments on Facebook (30-60K comments on some posts) I have a feeling they are getting crashed with the number of messages and anything sent to them is flagged as spam.

For an account protection standpoint, it is a good idea not to jump on these bandwagons with your regular account. If Twitter or other sites see an account as joining in, they may consider it a spam account.

It will probably be released within a week or so.
