Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Joe Bastardi just changed his tune from a "failure in the European model," to "I'm keeping an eye on the Western part of the Gulf of Mexico next week."

Some experts are beginning to sit up and take notice of the potential.

We really do need rain, Freya.  Mid to upper 90's and no rain for a month.  Even though I water my plants every night, they're wilted by the afternoon.  Just another Texas summer.

I will say that I believe the day isn't too far off where we'll be able to accurately predict hurricanes weeks ahead of time.  Maybe in ten years, or so.

We must be getting all your rain.  It's been a weird year here so far for weather.  Our Spring lasted much longer than usual and we've had a ton of rain including about 2 weeks in May where it was pretty much overcast and rainy all the time.  And, our normal late afternoon showers are coming in the early afternoon.

Until a week or so ago, our YTD high temp was in January.

In San Antonio this afternoon 3 drops hit my windshield. That's it. A few pop-ups on radar but scattered and won't do any good. I'm worried for the critters and the trees. Way too hot way too early.

I love the folks from Texas. But I hate heat. I’d like Alaska or Antarctica I like cold

I understand that.  But, I hate serious cold.  We have nice winters here.  Regularly below freezing, but snow is rare.  It's a big event when it does snow.

So, that's where it is. Can we make a trade?

You mean after I actually read what you said?

So you get to keep me and she gets the rain?  @Sanguine dear, I'm sorry, but even I have my limits on what I'm willing to do.  You'll just have to be drought.
