Friday, June 15th, 2018 Music Thread

http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/born_today
https://www.onthisday.com/music/birthdays/june/15

All Music Is Welcomed, in fact, anything is welcomed... motivational speeches, etc.

A few birthdays but first, how about one of those motivational speeches?  This is pretty darn good by Jeff Struecker... army ... he was in Mogadishu during  the "Blackhawk Down" era, early '90s and all of that, there are a few such kinds of speeches on youtube.  He speaks of what he experienced there. And yes, it is some preaching as well, in case, that might be offensive to some but not much of it. I'd say it's 17 plus minutes well spent.  Maybe we can post these or similar on a regular basis.

And now, on with the show....

Errol Garner, "Concert By The Sea":
! No longer available

Nigel Pickering of Spanky and Our Gang was born on this day in history, 'Sunday Will Never Be The Same":
! No longer available

Waylon Jennings,  'Amanda':

Johnny Halliday, a big French rock and roll star. "Gabrielle", he passed away in the past 12 months,

! No longer available

Noddy Holder, Slade, the main man, 'Run, Runaway':
! No longer available

Demis Roussos, Greek singer, "Forever and Ever":
! No longer available

Russel Hitchcock, Australian band Air Supply, "All Out Of Love":
! No longer available

Steve Walsh, Kansas, "Dust In The Wind":
! No longer available

David Hinds, Steel Pulse, UK Reggae band, "Prodigal Son", these guys have mainly been radical versus the reggae singers singing about what they smoke. Still, I've enjoyed some of their songs.
! No longer available

Blind Georgia star, Terri Gibbs, "Somebody's Knockin'", typical early '80s:
! No longer available

Michael Britt of the band Lonestar, "Amazed":
! No longer available

And others to be added on later.

All music, all videos welcomed.
