I wasn't implying that the Kamchatka fire was a Ukrainian attack.  Just pointing out another internal petroleum 'accident' in Russia proper.

And yes, I've played Risk too.  Would you prefer Yakutsk?  I assumed the site was near Vladivostok, but wasn't sure how far.  But definitely on the Kamchatka peninsula.

OK, this one really is from Ukraine.  Another unmanned Cessna-type aircraft loaded with explosives hits a refinery deep in Russia.  The flight distance from Kharkiv to Ufa is over 850 miles.

In a video published by The Moscow Times, it appears two officers did not salute Putin as he went down a line shaking hands.

According to a post circulating on Russian Telegram, one of the two officers, Viktor Panchenkov, head of the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, said he was following protocol and questioned why his fellow commanders offered Putin a salute.

Weird.   Don't know what to tell you.  Maybe try another browser?  Maybe they're age restricted?  A lot of anti-Russian videos get flagged as inappropriate.

I can see the Reddits, but there is a big banner at the top that says UkraineWarVideoReport has been banned from Redit.

Apparently the Russians are on a renewed campaign to get pro-Ukrainian sites and channels censored and banned across the web.  They're "report bombing" the outlets to trigger the algorithms, and with no real people left at those tech companies to reverse the censorship (after all the recent layoffs), the AI won't budge on any appeals.

Kharkiv's regional governor, Oleh Syniehubov, said intense overnight shelling targeted Vovchansk, a city with a pre-war population of about 20,000 that is less than five kilometres from the Russian border. The barrage, which used powerful guided aerial bombs, artillery, rockets, tanks and mortars, killed at least one civilian and wounded five others, prompting authorities to begin evacuating about 3,000 people.

Then, around dawn, Russian infantry tried to penetrate Ukrainian defences near Vovchansk, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry said, adding that it had deployed reserve units to fend off the attack.

Russian military bloggers said the assault could mark the start of a Russian attempt to carve out a "buffer zone" that Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to create earlier this year to halt frequent Ukrainian attacks on Belgorod and other Russian border regions.
