A few years ago Morrison few years ago, performed Astral Weeks, at the Hollywood Bowl. (I am not posting the link, since the audio and video aren't very good, in my opinion)

All Music Is Welcomed!

Checking out a few links to get the ball rolling to see who was born on this day in history:

http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/born_today
https://www.onthisday.com/music/birthdays/

Spring begins, March 20th this year, apropos for the birthday of Vera Lynn:
"White Cliffs Of Dover":

Quote
1917, Born on this day, Vera Lynn, English singer, songwriter and actress whose musical recordings and performances were enormously popular during the Second World War. In 2009 she became the oldest living artist to make it to No. 1 on the British album chart, at the age of 92
"We'll Meet Again":

Belated late birthday wish, March 19, 1872, Anna Held was born in Poland, she became a successful actress in Paris, very striking:

Back to March 20th birthdays:

Lee "Scratch" Perry, pivotal figure in the evolution of reggae music:
"Such Is Life":

Jerry Reed, the great "guitar man", Iceman in "Smokey and the Bandit":
'Eastbound and Down':

"Guitar Man':

And plenty more....

One of the websites points out that it is Vaughn Meader's birthday, anyone familiar with him? He was a JFK imitator:

It is the birthday of Jimmie Vaughan of the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Stevie Ray's brother:
"Tough Enough":

Carl Palmer, percussionist, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, "Toccata":

Joe Rivers of Johnnie and Joe, "Over The Mountain, Across The Sea":

Ranger Doug (Douglas Green) III of Riders In The Sky:
"Here Comes The Santa Fe":

Marcia Ball, pianist and singer with "Watermelon Time":

Fonso Martin of Steel Pulse, UK reggae band, "Chant A Psalm":

Shelly Poole, daughter of Brian Poole of the Tremeloes, "Lost In You":

So, quite a few birthdays today with more to come later.

One of the websites points out that it is Vaughn Meader's birthday, anyone familiar with him? He was a JFK imitator:

I remember him very well from my boyhood; my parents were huge fans of his signature album . . .

Vaughn Meader, The First Family

! No longer available

Meader was in a taxi in Milwaukee when the news broke about JFK's assassination. (Some stories say he thought it was a gag at first.) He wasn't scheduled
to perform that night except to a gathering of Wisconsin's state Democratic Party . . . but Lenny Bruce did have a nightclub gig that day. Bruce went ahead
with his gig, telling his audience at one point, referring to Kennedy's assassination, "Boy, is Vaughan Meader f@cked!" Bruce may only have been kidding,
he couldn't have known Meader would find himself so typecast as a JFK impressionist that no one would hire him to do anything else, and he'd made
public his refusal to continue his JFK impersonation after the assassination.

Meader made a few albums after 1963, none of which did anything spectacular for him. His friends abandoned him; he was dead flat broke by the end of 1965
and sinking into a morass of depression, alcohol, and drugs. He took whatever work he could find in the years to follow, though he did appear on Rich Little's album
The First Family Rides Again, Little's impersonations of Ronald Reagan, before returning to his music roots and playing bluegrass in his native Maine.
He never really recovered from the collapse of his comedy career following the Kennedy assassination, but he's remembered as setting new standards for political
parodies and impressions. He died in 2004; his survivors include his fourth wife, two stepchildren, and a step-granddaughter.

Gonna Get Along Without You Now!

Quote
Lyrics

Uh huh, uh huh, gonna get along without you now
Uh huh my honey, uh huh my honey,
Gonna get along without you now
You told me I was the neatest thing

You even asked me to wear your ring
You ran around with every girl in town
You never cared if it got me down

Uh huh, uh huh, gonna get along without you now.
Uh huh my honey, uh huh my honey,

Gonna get along without you now
Got along without you before I met you
Gonna get along without you now
Gonna find somebody who's twice as cute

'Cause I didn't like you anyhow
You told everybody that we were friends
But this is where our friendship ends
'Cause all of a sudden you changed your tune

You haven't been around since way last June.
Uh huh, uh huh, gonna get along without you now.
Got along without you before I met you
Gonna get along without you now

So long my honey
Goodbye my dear
Gonna get along without you now
