Dr. Hook is from Union City New Jersey, or do the locals say "Joizy" or something like that?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Hook_%26_the_Medicine_Show

But as further reading shows of the above article, 3 of the members of the original band including Ray Sawyer who just passed, were from the South, Sawyer from Alabama per the article. Sawyer apparently was the leader and wore the eye patch.

I think the excerpt misses the song "Sharing the night together",  another hit.  Looks like the other co-lead singer, LoCorriere sings it.

Sorry...

I'd probably pick that one as a favorite but, "Cover of the Rolling Stone"  is one of those songs that has been played on the radio, millions of times.
My personal favorite of theirs was "Better Love Next Time," another Locorriere lead, which had Sawyer on bongos.

Sorry...

Ray Sawyer, co-lead singer of Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show, dies at 81

@jmyrlefuller

There is a local expression that covers Ray Sawyer pretty well.

"That boy ain't right!" I may be wrong, but I suspect he was smoking some of that whacky tabacky they used to sell in Ca back then/

 Damn good musician and singer,though.

Much better. Lung cancer has been ruled out. Just got back home from the hospital a couple of hours ago.

Great news! Thanks.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Well, that's good news.

Don Lusk
Animator for Disney, Hanna-Barbera and Bill Melendez dies at 105

Lusk joined the Disney studio in 1933, drawing various animations for the studio's Golden Age films (animating Cleo the fish for Pinnochio, the Arabian Fish Dance for Fantasia, the mice in Cinderella and numerous other roles before leaving the studio in 1960, the result of the industry-wide decline of film animation and a resulting migration to cheaper television animation.

Lusk then found work at the Bill Melendez studio in 1969, working on three of the four theatrical Peanuts films and ten specials, the most enduring of which was A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. He then moved to Hanna-Barbera and worked on that studio's 1980s productions, including The Smurfs, before retiring in 1993 as Saturday-morning cartoons themselves fell into decline and edgier cable cartoons became the focus of the industry.

Lusk died December 30, age 105.
