@EasyAce

Thanks for the obit on Dennis Edwards.  The Temptations were my favorite soul group growing up.  Edwards came along during the group's psychedelic period and he was really good.  IMO he was even better than David Ruffin and Ruffin was no slouch.

I guess the only original member left is Otis Williams.

Rest in peace, Mr. Edwards.
When Edwards came in that began the Temptations' psychedelic soul period. They canned David Ruffin right before Norman Whitfield handed them "Cloud Nine." And you're right about Otis Williams, sadly enough.

Um....I thought the purpose of this thread was to acknowledge the passing of, and pay homage to, important people who have passed on.  If you two want to fight between yourselves, there is the Message feature.  Or start a new thread, if you want to fight publicly.

This thread should be free of political controversy and personal animosity.  Those who engage in these things show great disrespect for the dead.

Tell you what I'll take a self-imposed extended vacation.  Allowing this particular individual to do attacks of  this nature says plenty.

Earlier, calling non Trump supporters the same as AlQaeda and ISIS should have said enough.  Bye for now.

You a fan a murderous garbage? I just ask because someone that would equate an American President with diseased Communist filth probably reads Chairman Maos little red book before they go to bed.

Well you can feel free to mourn over the loss of Castro, Chavez and Hitler if it makes you feel better about yourself. I just as soon see their bodies strung up Il Duce style and defiled. That also goes for any of their cohorts in these shithole countries which this dead piece of shit is one.

They were liberal socialists, that makes them your buddies, but as I said a real conservative doesn't wish ill on anyone. a lesson you liberals never seem to learn.

I've seen a lot of dumb things said here.  Hell, I've said some of them myself.  But what you've said here is in the top 3 of dumb things said.  You could make the smart choice and decide to stick to this thread topic from here on out.

Edwin Jackson, American football player, dies at 26

Jackson was a member of the Indianapolis Colts, seeing extensive playing time in the 2016 season as a linebacker. He was struck dead by an unlicensed driver, who was suspected to be intoxicated and (by some reports) an illegal alien.

Been there.  Done that.  But for the grace of God go I.  Not the football part, but being hit by an unlicensed, uninsured, "no hablo ingles" individual.

RIP.

Actor John Mahoney dies at 77

The English-born character actor came to the United States as a young adult after his sister married an American after World War II and sponsored his trip; he eventually became a U.S. citizen by joining the armed forces.

Dissatisfaction with his career in his late 30s led him to pursue acting. After stints on Broadway, he arrived in Hollywood in the late 1980s. He was best-known as Martin Crane, the father of the title character in the hit sitcom Frasier; the role took advantage of the fact that he looked and could act about a decade older than his actual age at the time. He spent most of the rest of his life in Illinois, the state where he had spent most of his early adult life.

Mahoney, who never married but was otherwise secretive in regard to his personal life, died in hospice care.
