Yes, but in today's world, few are searching for such a well in the US. NatGas liquids have significant value, (and more work for me!!!)
I agree that heavier ends will always make for more value; however, there exists a lot of gas that is almost all methane that can be produced at prodigious enough amounts as to be valuable as well.
as an example, a friend of mine recently joined a company that is targeting the gas window of the Eagleford instead of the liquids-rich portion. The gas window is a LOT bigger and, since it is dry, will produce at much higher gas rates as methane is at lower viscosity.
