They are always "energized" when they aren't in the White House, no different than with Bush.

Loser Santorum blames Virginia on Trump, but he forgets he lost his Senate re-election bid by 17% back in 2006.  In a State that Trump won.

Until Iraq went south and the Republicans turned tail and ran, the Republican party did GREAT under Bush.

Like it or not, like HIM or not, Bush had great influence on the Republican successes in both 2002 and 2004.

That is clearly not happening with dear Leader Donald.....

Just now FOX business news was again touting the LYING GOP tax plan.
They were pointing out how high the stock market has risen since Trump
and his tax cuts for the rich were elected.  Dow up 28%,  Nasdaq up 30%.
They were singing their "happy days are here again" mantra... not realizing
that what goes up in record time can also come down in record time.

Well, it's pretty obvious to me you didn't read my last post to you.  I give up...you're on your own.

If the GOP did not want people calling their tax fiasco a 'tax cut for the rich' why did they propose one ?

Why did the GOP  lower tax rates on the rich while increasing the tax rate on the very poorest taxpayers [from 10% to 12%] ?

I have posted this before... and posters here respond with... "the rich pay more taxes"... but they never address the question... WHY did the GOP increase the tax rate on the poorest taxpayers ?

How do you justify not just lowing taxes for the rich... but increasing taxes on others to pay for those tax cuts for the rich ??

I know you won't honestly answer those questions... you will just ignore or attack me.

When you ask unbalanced questions that way, you are correct.  "When did you stop beating your wife?"  I will not answer them.  It's no excuse for using Democrat/Socialist lingo in making your point.

In fact, the analysis I read said there were no "tax breaks for the rich," the problem was there weren't tax breaks for anybody.  So you see, you ask a dishonest question, you do it all the time, and you should not be surprised when you get snarky comments in return.  My conclusion:  You are either 13 years old, or you are a leftist troll.

When candidate Trump first proposed tax reform, he touted  $25,000 single/$50,000 married standard deductions, his lowest tax rate remained at 10% [while the income bracket for that 10% greatly increased] and a 15% business tax rate.  That was when I first paid attention to the possibility that Trump's "tax reform" might be a good thing.

But that was only the BAIT and it has long since bit the dust.

Now we have the GOP SWITCH, a Frankenstein tax monster that hurts many poor and middle-class taxpayers and will destroy its own GOP creators.

When you ask unbalanced questions....

It's not my questions [most of whom you deleted in your  response] that is unbalanced.

OK, whatever you say.  I was trying to help you out by making an example of that particular question, your questions are lies in the form of questions so I refused to address them, no matter how many times you ask.

Besides, you don't answer questions either, so talking to you is usually a complete waste of time.

I'd have more respect for GOP leaders if they would just tell it like it is...
that they want major tax cuts for the rich elite and want to increase taxes
on the poor and middle class to help pay for it.  But instead of telling the
people to "eat cake", GOP leaders LIE by saying they're giving away bread
to everyone.  Such boldface LIES will bring down the whole house of cards
and everyone will be "eating cake" unless Madame Guillotine says otherwise.

Really? Most of the ads I watched on that race kept bringing up Christie Creme, the most hated gov in the US. I also bet you think it was a brilliant idea to run a candidate from the government of the most hated gov in the US too.

Now you’re just confusing NY and NJ.

I’m talking about NY.  I don’t give a rats patootie about NJ.

Well, I doubt it hurt that much, either. Mangano was a crook, and the state legislature where Martins came from is full of crooks. So already the GOP had two strikes against it.

So trump was, at his very best, merely ineffective?

Then how would we explain losing Congress in '06? W was a civil statesman, yet that didn't stop the media from a full blown assault on everything he said, and the leftists yelling 'ChimpyBushHitler' at the top of their lungs.

Same for Reagan. Same for Gingrich. Doesn't matter what they say or do, the media response is the same.

So why are we angsting like a bunch of catty jr. high cheerleaders over tweets and some roughness, when the result will be the same?

If anything, Trump's rhetoric has kept the media busy, while he's used Executive Orders to undo Obama. Actions. How tizzied am I supposed to get over words when there's someone that will actually do something, doing something?

Nearly the same exact reason they are going to lose their asses in '18.

They are not called the Stupid party for nothing you know.

Spending like drunken sailors and enacting the Democrat agenda is not going to endear anyone to come out to vote for anyone running in the GOP.

The 'we have to stop the greater evil with lesser evil' is not going to work anymore, that card has been worn out.

I have to agree.

Trump is at least doing something.

IMO Congress will be in GOP control for a year more and that's it, and we simply have not a single thing to show for it.

He’s undone precious little of what Obama did, and what Trump has done by EO can just as easily be undone by the next democrat president.

He has also done incalculable damage to the power of the presidency over things like immigration with his ill-advised twitter outbursts and anti-immigrant rhetoric providing fodder to justify courts finding the ability to restrict immigration policies on the basis of the president’s racism.

When all is said and done I very much doubt if the few conservative achievements he can claim will be worth the cost of all the damage he’s done.

The "build the wall", "deport illegals" and "repeal Obamacare" are not going to work again. Republicans have burnt those bridges. And the bridge of "tax reform" is on fire.

Trump has no clue on how to organize and pursue policy moving congress towards his goals.

My point about Trump all along was there was going to be essentially no Republican party by the time Trump is done. A Republican party Trump was never invested in in the first place. Republicans burnt their own house down from the inside out...

Perfectly stated.

And deservedly so.  Conservatives need to abandon that doomed party now and get busy with an alternative that is not corrupted by DC.
