New Jersey Governor Election Results

Hi.  @Freya has been working the polls all day, so she's probably tuckered out.  In that spirit, I'm starting a thread with the results of the election.  Pleas, friends, add to it as the numbers start to come in.

It's still early, so everything's neck-and-neck at Zero vs Zero...

Dems had a good night..won two elections they were supposed to win..but the crowing will be unbearable..lol

Another surprising win, not. But, that’s Jersey for you. They swing back and forth on governor as regular as a pendulum. And their list of loser governors is legion – yikes!

I just got home I'm beyond tired.

The district I worked in 1500 people (rounded slightly)

600 people voted (590 something I'm rounding up)

140 R
460 D

I'm in a bad mood.  Donut me.

There's more in play here I'll write when I'm awake but let's just say Murphy is going to really raise our taxes. I don't think people cared. I think they just hated Christie so much they didn't look at the issues.

I think people were really pissed at Christie (Gotta admit, he's been pretty obnoxious lately), so the voters took it out on his party.  I don't think it's much more complicated than that.

I think you are exactly right.  Putting a Lt. Governor on the ballot who's boss had approval ratings in the teens always seemed like political suicide to me.
