Trump thinks he owns Renoir, but Art Institute says real one hangs in Chicago

There are two versions of French impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s “Two Sisters (On The Terrace).”

One has hung in the Art Institute of Chicago since 1933.

The other is in President Donald Trump’s New York apartment.

But one of them is a fake — and the Art Institute says it isn’t the one in Chicago.

Trump, apparently, disagrees.

Trump biographer Tim O’Brien — who was raised in Chicago and knew the painting well — told Vanity Fair’s “Inside the Hive” podcast that he first challenged Trump over the authenticity of Trump’s “Renoir” years ago on the real estate mogul’s private jet, where it once hung.

Well send in the experts and find out. I'd just guess that it's much more likely Trump's is fake, however there have been fakes found in museums before.

I highly recommend Tim O'brien's biography on TRump. It came out about a decade ago but it's a very good read
 

It's like pulling back the curtain on the great wizard of oz. How he treated Ivana during their divorce and carried on with Marla-  how he described the latter made me feel he had a bit of a mysogynist in him.

Reminds me how it recently was found he had a bunch of fake magazine covers of himself all over his office. There is something just not right in his head.

In this case, he is either the victim of a counterfeiter or knowingly bought the fake (unless it was a licensed reproduction). As long as he didn't try to pass it off as real, he would be a the victim in this financially if he was conned into buying a counterfeit.
