I think someone else told me that also awhile back.....@musiclady you might want to download Chrome..you can always remove it if it doesn't work.

Well, I'll be!  I'm on Chrome now, and I see the videos!  (That's probably why I see them on the tablet).

A wee bit of cleanup first...
Open CCleaner
in the sidebar, choose 'Options'.
In the 'Options' dailog's sidebar, choose 'Monitoring'
It will whine about it, but uncheck everything in there.

It doesn't need to run in the background.

While we're at it, in the main sidebar, choose 'Registry'.
In it's main dialog, mash 'Scan for Issues'.

When it completes. poke 'Fix Selected Issues'
Do you want a backup - choose no.
Then poke 'Fix All Selected Issues'
When done, close.

And lastly, if you didn't run the actual cleaner...
in the sidebar, choose 'Cleaner'
Poke run cleaner (though I think you already did).

Then CCleaner can be closed.

Press ALT on your kb.
See, up at the top left that the standard toolbar appears?
ALT toggles it on and off, so repeat till you see.

Standard tool bar: [File] [Edit] [View] [Favorites] [Tools] [Help]
Choose Tools => 'Manage Add-ons'

Now. This is going to be a bit subjective, because there can be many things in there.
In the sidebar, I am mainly interested in 'Toolbars and Extensions'.

First, be sure that Java and Flash (maybe Shockwave too) are enabled.
If they were not, enable them and see if Joy.

IF there is a webroot component... or any other antivirus/ antispy component, disable it for now and see if joy.

Lemme know.

It's letting me disable Webroot, but when I click on "Webroot Filtering Extension" it won't let me do anything to it, and it's enabled.

Should I restart the browser and try anyway?

Yes, hopefully the one will disable the other - thought hat 'filtering agent' is going to be the thing. I'll betcha.

I know.  I jumped through all the hoops and still can't see things on IE or FF, but CAN on Chrome.

It likely will... It may impose itself on Chrome after the first cold boot. We'll see.

Give the Epic privacy browser a try:

It can be set up to automatically block your IP address from sites you visit by going through a proxy site. I've tested that feature and it works.

It's based on the google Chrome browser, but all the google-specific stuff (such as tracking) has been stripped out.

It also blocks ads.

I don't use it for everything, as I use a Mac and most of my browsing is done with Safari. But now and then I use it "as an alternative". I've encountered instances where something wouldn't load or play in Safari, but did fine using Epic...
