Harvey Weinstein is boarding a private jet Tuesday night, bound for a rehab center in Europe for sex addiction ... sources connected with the former mogul tell TMZ.

We're told Harvey has decided to take the advice of the people around him and leave immediately. We're told he will enter a live-in facility and will deal both with sex and other behavioral issues.

Our sources say Weinstein is surprisingly calm, considering the PR nightmare engulfing him. As one source put it, "He has his moments where there are bursts, but for the most part he's pretty calm."

We're told Weinstein still believes he can get help, come back and make a fresh start. As a source close to Weinstein put it, "He wants to come back with fresh, new ideas." As we reported, he and his team are in settlement discussions with The Weinstein Co. and the idea of him serving in some outside capacity is still on the table.

Tom. This is a GD HUGE political story. Harvey was the deep pockets for the Rat political machine for decades. He choreographed celebs and important Leftist pols during elections. This "trashy story" coming out destroys one of the most successful wings of the Progressive movement.

-It starves an already poor DNC of much needed cash.
-It exposes to the public at large the true nature of the celebrity business.
-It undermines all the sanctimonious Rat pols who claim they are for women's rights.
-It is going to start an avalanche of some of the most disgusting secrets being revealed about other Hollywood Mogals.
-It heavily damages an already bleeding NY Times for sitting on the story for 13 years.
-It puts in jeopardy the NYC justice system for giving Harvey a walk in the face of damning recordings.

People on this forum are too wrapped up in their own petty bullshit to see what just happened here, but this was a 10 on the Richter Scale. The Left will be devastated by this in the long run worse than Trump being elected.

BTW, this move by Harvey to go to rehab is textbook Lawyering 101 when the shit hits the fan. Get the client out of the public eye to a place that can be argued in court to show that he is remorseful and working on being a better person. Harvey WILL be going to court over this guaranteed.
