   oh, but I was @driftdiver, you can check my posting history here and TOS the big difference that you fail to recognize is that obummer didn't run as a Conservative under the GOP banner, your boy did. I am not a democrat or republican just an equal opportunity NT'er (whatever that is).
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

Ted Cruz said a staffer did that "like" per porn. Really, trying to assert dishonesty per something posted on twitter is really grasping at straws.

https://twitter.com/GovWalker

Scott Walker's twitter, as if it mattered if he is a Green Bay fan; and if something got posted from a past game.

That alleged "false" twitter only says "awaiting for the 2nd half", something like that and a picture is posted. There is nothing explicitly saying "We are waiting for the 2nd half and this is us".

Here, the tweet is on page 1: http://www.gopbriefingroom.com/index.php/topic,284934.0.html

"Looking forward to cheering for our @Colts & honoring the great career of #18 Peyton Manning @LucasOilStadium, Go Colts"

And posting that picture of them in Colts gear. So what?

Also, I don't necessarily believe that just because journalist Peter Alexander said they were told to wait in the van, that it is so. We know how many of these journalists think. This could be smoke. We don't know its definitely true.

@CatherineofAragon

In all honesty, this should be seen as playing fast and loose with the truth, just posting a picture of one in Colts gear and saying we are waiting for the 2nd half does not mean that is them watching the game in progress.

Uh.... don't blame the Conservatives.  Conservatives don't do that.  Blame the Authoritarians.  You know who they are (here).

We ALL do.

btw, doing some thinking and re-thinking of my personal NFL boycott based on your thoughts expressed here.

The left IS trying to destroy an American tradition, and I had not considered our counter-protests as aiding and abetting the enemy.

Perhaps it is.....   :pondering:

It definitely is (unintended consequences).  I can almost hear the leftists gleefully cheering and cackling as more and more fans walk out and boycott the games.  I don't even like football, but I hope the left fails in this endeavor of theirs.  I hope they fail in their EVERY endeavor.   :0001:

Oh, I'm sorry!  I didn't realize that people are supposed to include "YES THIS IS US, IT REALLY IS!  NOT A FAKE PHOTO!" every time they snap a pic.

Lol, what a time to be alive.   :laugh:

Btw, if y'all notice a lot of modifications from me, it's because it's getting near time for a new laptop.

@driftdiver

See my previous question.  It's not as simple as "grabbing the wrong picture."  It's a simple thing to take a pic and post it straight to social media.  To accidentally post a three year old pic, Pence would have had to search his camera roll to find it, making it deliberate.

He had the fake one ready to go.  To deceive you.  And you lap it up.

Do you member on how we didn't like the Fed Gov going after the Washington Redskins cause their name wasn't PC?
I didn't much cotton to the NCAA going after the "Fighting Sioux" logo and team names at the University of North Dakota--especially since the logo was designed by a Native American artist and approved by the Spirit Lake Sioux Tribal Elders. But the NCAA knew more than those people and were offended for them, because they apparently figured they weren't smart enough to be offended by something they had approved. Go figure, and tell me who the 'racists' were in that one.

@CatherineofAragon isn't one bit offensive.

She's just winning the argument, and you don't like it.

I imagine if a Dem did what Pence did no one here would be defending this action.

The President and Vice President fly around ALL the time for public appearances.

Or are you referring to the walking about because they kneeled.   Well were safe because we know a democrat wouldn't do that, they'd join the players in taking a knee.

We did imagine it every time over the last 25 years we wished the GOP could match or exceed the PR skills of the Rats in framing debates.

Politics is optics and this is a tremendous wedge issue for the GOP. You either are a patriotic American or a Commie symp bastard kneeling like a Frenchman surrendering. It's pretty cool.

Even the times on the twitter are messed up; it doesn't even look like this one that is "alleged" to be trickery was even posted at game-time: @CatherineofAragon

https://twitter.com/VP
The original is at Pence's twitter account, the nearest I can see, there is no time stamp to date when it was originally posted. Thus, one doesn't have a leg-to-stand on saying this was posted at the game.  It could have been posted early in the morning, all Pence says is:
Quote
Vice President Pence‏Verified account @VP Oct 8

Looking forward to cheering for our @Colts & honoring the great career of #18 Peyton Manning at @LucasOilStadium today. Go Colts!

From what I see, there is no timeline on the picture, could have been posted at 8:30 AM Sunday morning. To assert Pence posted this knowing it was false;  **nononono*

Yes, I click on the tweet at the VP twitter to enlarge it and it reads it was posted at 8:27 AM Sunday morning. Now? What are we going to say that the game started that early? London kickoff maybe?

Why would Vice President Pence leave the Colts game because some of the opposing team's players knelt during the National Anthem?

I can see doing it if his own team's players disrespected the Anthem.  But the opposing team?  I'd think he'd stay to root to see their treasonous asses kicked six ways from Sunday.

That's a good point but the Colts had done some of this in prior games.

Actually, I wonder why he would have gone but again, looking at Governor Walker's twitter, he has been supporting the Packers. I am sure, they are a big homestate draw in Wisconsin.

https://twitter.com/GovWalker

I'd have to read whether he has gotten into the anthem controversy.

No, I don't think so.  It got personal with Trump's infamous tweet, and the protesters made it clear it's Trump they're protesting now.

I don't understand why anyone calling themselves republican, let alone conservative, would have a problem with someone on our side actually playing the PR game instead of surrendering the field as usual.

Exactly. The only reason this is getting so much play is because NeverTrumpers reflexively jump on board with Leftist in their hatred of all thing Trump, so the word is spread across the political world far and wide.

There are three political forces whose actions scream “I hate Trump.” Leftist Democrats, establishment types, and NeverTrump. And that’s the reality Trump faces daily.

And they sound much the same.
