Though actor Daniel Craig recently confirmed he would be back for another round of “James Bond” after portraying the spy four previous times on the big screen, audiences and insiders are still wondering which studio will land the rights to the franchise.

Warner Brothers is reportedly in the lead to win the contract for the next 007 movies, but Amazon and Apple are also throwing their hats into the ring. If either wins the rights, it could be a complete game-changer for Hollywood, as one of the biggest movie franchises in the world will be distributed by one of two tech companies that are trying to push streaming services primarily.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

One thing we do know will happen is James Bond will cease being a martini guzzling womanizer and become a yogurt spattered crusader against the patriarchy. Felix Lighter will become the new Hans Blowfeld.

And you'll never see another late run 007 movie for free again.

Still boggles my mind that these two companies collectively are worth $1.3T.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

They're casting now for black, crippled, female, dwarf, lesbians for the title role.
Seriously, in the very near future look for transgender leads for many movies. That's the next thing they'll try to foist on audiences.

And Hollywood will enjoy many more summer seasons even worse than this one.

Last time I looked, Tesla was worth more than Ford.

For me, Sean Connery was the only real Bond. No other actor could affect that sophisticated,  understated, semi-bored look Connery gave Bond while still communicating a deadly intent behind the  facade.
I liked Roger Moore...some of his Bond flicks were decent.   But it just wasn't the same as with Connery.

Agree. I came of age during Connery and to me he defines the role. My kids gave me the box set and I find myself always going back to Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Dr. No. I even still enjoy Diamonds Are Forever – when Connery seemed play a caricature of himself as Bond. Still love it though.

One other thing. Daniel Craig in Casino Royale is right up there with the best of Connery's Bond and in the running for best film of the franchise.

In 1965 I took two (non-concurrent) girlfriends to see "Goldfinger" at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, in my 1953 MG TD.

Mine was green but ......

Bond drove Aston Martins, I seem to recall.

Connery was Bond for the 60s. Moore fit the 70s.

Although I like Sir Roger's characterization, when representing the 70s its tough not to be a little tacky.

Well that's easy, it's because Tesla draws from the taxpayers pocket and that's a hell of a lot deeper than Ford's.

Moore's Bond was just way too clownish, maybe not his fault as the producers seemed to need to make everything a joke or sight gag, well beyond the clever repartee of the Connery era. I am just curious if they continue the trend of filling the role of a violent gun using spy with virulent anti gun actors.
