You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

Nothing even close, to the Eagles' Frey and Henley 1973 hit.

It also marked the start of their song writing together.

Its just a cool tune.

Step into your last goodbye
You're a target just by living
Twenty dollars will make you die

That is such a great song, as are so many of Guy Clark's songs. I was devastated when he passed away last year. I discovered him only about 10 years ago, and his music is now imprinted on my soul. God bless him.

Yes, it's a great song.  Guy wrote it but didn't record it until 1975, I think.  Jerry Jeff Walker (the Progressive Country/Outlaw artist who wrote and performed "Mister Bojangles) actually appears to have recorded Guy's song a couple of years earlier than Guy--but I like Guy's version better.

The public videos appear to all be pulled, but Vince Gill's tribute at the Grand Ole Opry to Glenn Frey, singing Desperado, may be a near second.

Sorry but I find pre-76 Eagles stuff sappy pre-country yawners. Again, just my taste though.

It took the addition Joe Walsh give them an edge and to turn them into a great band.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.
