This Thread Brought To You By The Letters C & W:

In Case You Missed It Dept.:

President Trump and Melania dined with President Macron and his wife atop the Eiffel Tower on Thursday. It was the anniversary of the French Revolution. President Trump was in Paris to celebrate Bastille Day and the Democrats were hoping Kathy Griffin was on the reception committee.

Capitol Hill was a beehive of Senate negotiation over private coverage and Medicaid coverage Friday as the repeal and replace bill neared a vote. Everybody's all in. It's rumored that President Trump has offered to adopt Rand Paul and put him in the will in exchange for his vote on health care.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell worked into the weekend trying to cobble together enough GOP votes to get their health care bill passed. It's going to be very close. Mitch said he's just working to get fifty people into a comfortable place, but why bring Bill Cosby's defense plea into this?

Donald Trump Jr. was discovered to have attended a completely legal meeting with a Moscow lawyer at Trump Tower during the campaign, Next we will learn that NYPD security video shows him jaywalking to the meeting. Cable news needs to change the phrase Breaking News to Now What?

President Trump led the delegation of foreign leaders in Paris Friday to celebrate Bastille Day in France. Trump was cheered along the Champs Elysee as he was escorted in his limousine by the French cavalry. CNN noted that the French tri-color flag is the same three colors as Russia's flag.

The National Archives reports an uptick in the number of tourists visiting the U.S. Constitution in the Rotunda. Let's hope they explain it. Millennials have been asking their civics professors what makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to run this country than someone born by C-section?

Yakov Smirnov returned to Los Angeles from a world tour Saturday to perform for a sold-out audience at the Main Room Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. I opened the show and warmed up the crowd for Yakov. I've been subpoenaed to testify in the Senate next Tuesday.

Senator John McCain had emergency surgery Monday forcing a delay in the vote for the GOP health care plan. Other lawmakers on Capitol Hill face physical challenges. Nancy Pelosi says that her diagnosis of dementia will not interfere with her plans to impeach President Donald W. Bush.

The GOP Senate failed to pass its health care bill Tuesday and North Korea vowed to nuke the U.S. The mainstream media continued to haze President Trump like an unwanted fraternity pledge. In other news, O.J. Simpson may be released from prison today, so there you go, things CAN get worse.

The Washington Post reports Capitol Hill police picked up a suspicious person who crashed his car into the U.S. Capitol barrier. Wise choice of targets. By the time the House and Senate finish debating what do with the guy, the seven-year statute of limitations will pass and he'll be a free man.

The GOP Senate lost votes to repeal Obamacare as the time approached to vote up or down on Monday. Up to last year, the vote to repeal passed over fifty times. GOP senators from swing states were plenty brave enough to vote to pass a repeal of Obamacare as long as Obama was there to veto it.

Homeland Security warned Monday the fall of ISIS cities could result in terrorists fanning out overseas and spreading jihad. One report says that terrorists are making plans to attack and kill every U.S. citizen in Los Angeles. Police officials fear that the death toll could be as high as a hundred.

President Trump blamed Fake News Wednesday for trying to incite a firestorm over an off-the-record chat he had with Vladimir Putin at the G-20 dinner. The media won't rest till they get him. O.J. Simpson may be paroled any day, prompting CNN to report that Nicole was secretly seeing Trump.

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVoss is targeting Common Core curriculum in grade schools because its lessons are all leftist. That's true. Common Core teaches that Jack and Jill went up the hill to live in a gated community and that the Three Little Pigs shot and killed an unarmed black man.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
