Per the article no sign of botulism- no surprise there- doctors not buying the sleeping pill story. He probably suffered hypoxia. So sorry for this young man and his family.

Otto isn't getting much love from the leftists. Check out reader comments on some of the more left-leaning publications reporting this story. I figure they (and Obama) decided he was a privileged frat-white boy who deserved what he got.

However, I suspect that Bergdahl paid very dearly while in the hands of the Taliban.

A soldier who causes his comrades to be killed through his cowardice deserves a penalty he should not have been able to come back from.

Oh, I'm not making excuses for him.  When he did that I had 6 members of my immediate family over there.  I despise the little POS.

My husband and son were over there during this..different places of course but they heard all the scuttlebutt about a GI deserting...

It is also indicative of extreme intoxication or brain trauma.

I doubt the Norks allow their 'guests of the state' beer bashes in the slammer.

I believe this is why they kept him for over a year.
