FOX News Down Half a Million Prime Time Viewers Since Firing Top Host Bill O’Reilly

FOX News cable set the all-time record for viewers for any news cable service in the first Quarter of 2017. According to its own press release:


FOX News Channel (FNC) finished the first quarter of 2017 with the highest-rated quarter ever in cable news history in 24-hour viewership, and once again topped cable in both primetime and total day according to Nielsen Media Research.  Each hour during the 6AM-11PM/ET program lineup broke a network record with the highest-rated hours ever for a quarter with millennials tuning in to FOX News more than any other cable news outlet.  Furthermore, The O’Reilly Factor not only had its highest-rated quarter ever in history, but it broke all previous records in cable news history for the highest-viewership ever for any given program in a quarter.

It seems to be a little more than 'loss of viewers'. FNC is circling the toilet. They drove off or fired all of their best talent. What a weird, strange, story this is? It would be like the Seinfeld show firing Jerry, then Kramer, then George, and replacing them with new actors and still expecting to be number one. It makes no sense?


I wish I knew the backstory that brought all of this on.

For me it was paid Trumpette Jeanine Pirro calling me traitor for not supporting "the presumptive nominee" during the NH primary and finally when FOX news allowed Trump a platform to lie about Rafael Cruz.

FNC can go to hell.

LOL yeah right.   Like all those sponsors didn't know about his luffa sponges.   All they care about is public perception and how that translates to making money.

If they cared about morals they wouldn't be supporting the Clintons or a multitude of other politicians (e.g.  Kennedys).    Fox lost the viewers BECAUSE they fired Bill, and lost the rest of the stars they had.

No there is a very good chance the sponsors didn't know. The bosses at Fox News didntjeir best to hide what Bill was doing so as not to alienate the sponsors and lose that ad revenue. The sponsors found out about the same time we did.

They certainly weren't in any kind of collusion with Murdock and Ailes.

Strawman?   lol seriously?    Fox loses Meghan, Greta and other prime stars but that had nothing to do with the loss in ratings.   Nope it was complaints against Bill.

I knew Bill had these kind of allegations against him before but  you're saying people whose job involves spending millions of dollars in advertising didn't take the time to find out.   what a joke.
