When it appeared they were supportive of Conservative positions, they were the few places to tune in that wasn't blatant Liberal/Marxist pap.

Since Trump, now, it's okay if blatant liberal/Marxist pap is spewed when it's a Republican doing it, and they made it blatant.  The overt cheerleading was over-the-top ridiculous to the point that they all lost any objectivity or discernment whatsoever IMO.

Rush sold out blatantly to Trump during the primary season and the moment he said to a woman  last July that if she didn't vote for Trump she was voting for Hillary is when I cancelled my 24/7 and turned him off for good.

Someone  (I think it were @Frank Cannon , but not sure) said on another thread that the Murdoch boys are killing the golden goose the old man bred, like a lot of second gen businesses.
Considering their sheer lack of ability - have a look at the Star TV eff up - he's not wrong.

I've read (and posted on another thread a few weeks ago) that the Murdoch family is looking to buy out the remaining shares of ITV as well.  In the UK, they have different standards regarding approval for purchases and they have to pass a standards board to show they will provide 'fair' news coverage so there is some behind the scenes cleaning house of what the board could consider overt bias in any direction, especially towards a foreign government administration.

As I have mentioned before.....Murdoch's British publication News of the World was involved in trials, fines, and terrible press for hacking into phone messages of a family whose child was kidnapped and murdered.
I am sure they have no desire to create that situation here in the US.

No attention here of course, since it wasn't anti-Trump, but Sinclair is a BIG US media concern.

Why do you suppose that is?  Is it a legitimate case of "you didn't build that" and therefore, a matter of not valuing something you didn't have to work for, but was handed to you on a silver platter?  Or.... are some of the spawn of some of these millionaires just simpering, spoiled brat morons.  Or both. 

Or.... is it an issue of most millionaires and their offspring being rabid lefties.  Lefties that value nothing more than power.  Destroying Fox News as a conservative source of news would be a show of force and proof of power.   And since they are already too rich to fail, they won't miss the revenue from Fox News once it's gone.  Dunno.

Levin was the last one I dumped.  He may be a true Conservative and has much to teach - but he kept threatening to bolt the GOP and always ends up endorsing whatever liberal they front and I just couldn't take him seriously anymore.  Bitching and moaning about someone you endorsed to millions and voted for, knowing they were a lifelong NY liberal Democrat is a bit silly and stupid in my estimation and he degraded my respect for him as a result.

I can decide what to read and think for myself. As far as I'm concerned, pundits have all the value of movie critics with none of the entertainment value. They're detrimental to the civic awareness of the population.

I suspect Jefferson would include the likes of Hannity, Limbaugh and others in his critique of the press because contrary to popular belief, they are part of that very same media they attack as "fake news".

To your request of my opinion of the manner in which a newspaper should be conducted so as to be most useful, I should answer ‘by restraining it to true facts & sound principles only.’ yet I fear such a paper would find few subscribers. it is a melancholy truth that a suppression of the press could not more compleatly deprive the nation of it’s benefits, than is done by it’s abandoned prostitution to falsehood.
