Harvard study puts anti-Trump media bias in bold relief

By World Tribune Staff  on May 19, 2017

Harvard Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy has released a report that reviews media coverage of President Donald Trump’s first 100 days.

The study analyzed CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. European media surveyed included the BBC, the UK’s Financial Times and the German public broadcaster ARD.

The results were overwhelmingly negative. Fox News came closer to neutrality but was ranked 52 percent negative and 48 percent positive, according to a report in Heat Street.

The study did find that on topics like the economy, coverage was more balanced: 54 percent negative to 46 percent positive.

Trump did get positive press reviews for the cruise missile attack on Syria. About 80 percent of all reports were positive about the strikes.

Other articles label this as a "new standard" in media bias. No articles from NYT, WaPo, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS

They needed a study to find out the media is biased?
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

I do have to ask: is it still extreme bias if the vast majority of it is true?

Harvard Study Reveals Huge Extent of Anti-Trump Media Bias

A major new study out of Harvard University has revealed the true extent of the mainstream media’s bias against Donald Trump.

Academics at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy analyzed coverage from Trump’s first 100 days in office across 10 major TV and print outlets.

They found that the tone of some outlets was negative in as many as 98% of reports, significantly more hostile than the first 100 days of the three previous administrations:

You actually think that?  Wow.  Farther gone than I thought.

So in other words:

"I hate Trump!!!!!!     And I just wanted to remind everyone once again about that."

Yeah,  we got it.   Thanks for telling us again.  We look forward to your next message when you also tell us this very same thing again,  but using different words.

He's a McMuffin follower.  McMuffin came out in so many words to say he was going to take Trump down close to Day 1.    I just give him a mental pat on the head and remember I too was young once-upon-a-time.  Be kind.  ;)
