Small pet peeve of mine. Government pays for NOTHING, but it does sound so gentle and innocuous to say "government" rather than refer to those of us who get up early in the morning and come home late in the evening because WE ARE WORKING! And, of course, don't forget all of our kids and grandkids, and great-grandkids who will get to pay off what we don't make that the government spends anyway.
