Spiders are quite literally all around us. A recent entomological survey of North Carolina homes turned up spiders in 100 percent of them, including 68 percent of bathrooms and more than three-quarters of bedrooms. There's a good chance at least one spider is staring at you right now, sizing you up from a darkened corner of the room, eight eyes glistening in the shadows.....

Spiders don't bother me. I don't have any interest in picking them up but otherwise we're cool.

What bothers me is June bugs in my room at night. I know they're completely harmless but I know that the bug that spends its time crashing into the walls, ceiling, and floor is going to crash into my face about the time I drift off to sleep.

The good news with all those Australian spiders is they can eat some of the snakes.   Yes, the spiders in Australia eat snakes.

I have those in my yard, the orb weavers that eat small birds.

We have the yearly migration of the tarantulas in Texas.  You'll see them going across the roadways.

Here is another rather nasty spider.  I had one in my bathroom last year.  The Brown Recluse.  Hmmm....guess it's time to spray again.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

The last time I saw a tarantula swarming in West Texas was when I was 16 or 17 back in the early 1970's. The roads were so slick with crushed spider corpses it was a traffic hazard.

So what you're saying is, a spider in the mouth may be just the thing when it comes to nocturnal june bugs.
