Don't play that game with me, Sanguine.  You know very well there is a coterie of his fanbois and fangurlz on this forum who excuse and cheer for everything Trump does.

There are indeed two sides here, along with a big gulf in the middle.  Both sides swear TBR is an echo chamber for the other side, and declare the Mods are biased that way too.  Woe.

Really? Can you show me an example?

Well, you could make a pretty good start by examining your own posts.  Pick one, any one.

I learned the hard way -- ironically with a different narcissist named Donald -- that it's time to say "enough" when you realize you're making excuses for the inexcusable.  This isn't some jerk who screwed up on the lawn mowing.... this is the President of the United States.  Time to stop cutting him slack.

That's your opinion.  But it's not mine.  We've known Trump's faults in excruciating detail for about a year now.  But he is the current Republican president and, as such, on our side (in a way).

So, I'm not ready to crucify him over his personal idiosyncracies right now.

I have literally never seen anything like this. I don't think anybody has.

I disagree.  We have seen it before.  The old saying is correct: "History repeats ... first as tragedy, then as farce."

Obama was the tragedy.  Trump is the farce.

It would be a lot easier if you would simply tell us one single, solitary thing he's done that you approve of.

It's one thing to know about his faults.  It's quite another for the President of the United States continually to give rein to them.

Does it bother you to say that it's OK for the President of the United States to act this way, just because of his political party?

Your or my personal idiosyncrasies don't start wars or cause political crises.  Trump is succeeding admirably at the latter, and we're left to hope he can somehow avoid the former.

Just remember what I said: it's time to say "enough" when you realize you're making excuses for the inexcusable.

So, nothing specific, relevant, or necessarily applicable to this thread.

So true.  If only Obama had been a clown like Trump is and not hidden his treachery in a calm, pleasant demeanor ....

You probably shouldn't use terms you don't understand.

Well, let me known when your opinion of Trump or your posts on TBR have any effect on the real world.

Now, that's a good example of passive-aggressive.  Well done!

Well, let me known when your opinion of Trump or your posts on TBR have any effect on the real world.

My point is that some people here recoil in horror if I post any kind of defense of Trump as if I owe it to your or the world to be horrified by some of the things he says and does.

I don't.

There's a lot of stuff Trump's done that I like. I liked his USSC nomination, his cabinet nominations, immigration crackdown, his speech...
