KASICH: GOP Should Side With Dems To Stop Conservatives

Thank goodness this demented windmill will be gone next election cycle. Perhaps Johnny doesn't realize that his continually pandering to the left is what lost him the election.

KASICH: GOP Should Side With Dems To Stop Conservatives

Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a stalwart supporter of Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, thinks the congressional effort to repeal the health care law needs to shift left to court Democrats instead of conservative members of the GOP.

Kasich was the first Republican governor to expand Medicaid in his own state and is vocally pushing Congress to preserve the extra federal funding for broadened Medicaid eligibility during Obamacare repeal.

“There’s going to be a problem in the House of getting anything out of there that still provides coverage to people,” Kasich said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. “That’s why the Republicans have to reach out to some of the Democrats. I don’t know whether this is going to happen.”

“I think there are some very conservative Republicans in the House who are going to say, ‘just get rid of the whole thing,’” Kasich said. “That’s not acceptable when you have 20 million people, or 700,000 people in my state” who have gained coverage.

Repealing the health care law without a replacement at the same time would be a “political impossibility,” Kasich said.

Kasich also concluded that former House Speaker John Boehner was “pretty close” in his assessment that Congress won’t end up repealing the basic “framework” of the Affordable Care Act...

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

And here you have why principled conservatives actually wanted a principled conservative to win.
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

I recall Kasich was the main man, at this "conservative hub."

One false memory might be a delusion. Two people, that's just spreading lies and insults, just like these same names were doing during the primaries.

But nice try.

There were a couple foolish Kaisch backers here but it was far from some overwhelming force and certainly not enough to consider TBR a 'hub' of support for him by any definition.

KASICH: GOP Should Side With Dems To Stop Conservatives

Smells like supporting evidence that Kasucks stayed in the primary race solely to help Clinton/Trump statists.

Governors Perry, Walker, Kasich, even Christie as a group have much deeper, better resumes than.....

Cruz, Rubio, Paul etc.  Just sayin.

Let me translate for Gov. Kasich:

Now that ObamaCare has become such a behemoth it's nearly impossible to shut down.  Like a cancer that was once isolated in one part of your body it could have been easily contained and therefore eliminated - had it been stopped earlier.   But now that the cancer has spread throughout your body it's nearly impossible to tackle.

Which is the same argument The Wall Street Journal uses every time the topic of a government shutdown raises its ugly head.  Government has become such a Godzilla rumbling down Main Street that shutting it down would hurt the economy.  It has simply grown too large to shut down.

In both cases they are making the best possible arguments for a small, unobtrusive government.  They are just too consumed by their own rhetoric to realize it.
