Time for the dinosaurs to leave Washington!
Romans 12:16-21

I think we're going to see McCain retire soon; he's had some negative press/rumors surrounding him ... I personally don't think the guy is of sound mind anymore.

Kennedy.  I don't think he has the overwhelming ego that the other three have.

John McCain he's been fading away for a while now.
“The way I see it, every time a man gets up in the morning he starts his life over. Sure, the bills are there to pay, and the job is there to do, but you don't have to stay in a pattern. You can always start over, saddle a fresh horse and take another trail.” ― Louis L'Amour

I cant see any of them retiring with the possible exception of Kennedy, but I don't think Kennedy would until near the end of Trump's term...

It might be a couple more years.

Remember, Anthony Kennedy has been one of the major drivers of the pro-gay movement on the court in recent years. Almost all of the rulings were written by his hand. He is probably going to want to make sure his successor doesn't undo what he's done. He may very well find Trump's tacit approach to the topic appealing and see that his best chance of a successor in his mold is likely going to be under Trump.

I agree

I think we're going to see a lot of republican retirements in the near future but I doubt John McCain will be among them.

When the Trump fans find out that Mike Lee voted for Evan McMullin they'll be screeching for him to retire.

A better betting pool might be who's going to die first.  My bet's on Ginsburg for that one.

I missed this poll. :(

I wouldn't wish death on anyone but I think Justice Ginzberg will be the next to retire.

I hear she's not in good health and what ever time she has left she should really enjoy it. Write a book, and spoil her grand  babies.

I agree with that.   But if we're talking a dead pool rather than a retirement pool,  I'd give the nod to the Notorious RBG.

Kennedy. I suspect the others will only leave office feet first.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

RBG definitely has a huge ego, TBH I'm surprised she didn't retire earlier in Obama's term so he could appoint another much younger justice.

At this stage, I think the only way she will leave is feet first.

My vote goes to "all of them will die in office", none will retire.

Interesting.  I had wondered why she hung on throughout the long last eight years.

McCain's brain retired a long time ago. He's a talking head.

I get so tired of the McCain bashing. The fact is that he, no matter what his family connection, he is one who spent his time in the Hanoi Hilton, I find it  incredulous that today's keyboard warriors claim moral superiority over the man when their only claim to fame is being a prolific poster on a conservative bolg not directing this at you Fred but I find the Conservative hate  of McCain by some to be pure billsh+t.

I'm don't  give a sh+t that some may be offended but I will trust the judgment of one who served our Country and was a POW over one whose Vietnam was experienced in the strip joints of NYC..

Don't give a damn about what McCain did in Viet Nam 100 years ago.
Today is more important.
And today, McCain leading the charge to damage Trump.
McCain is a far-Left Democrat masquerading as a Republican.
His gross duplicity offends me.

I had considerable respect for McCain as far as his POW experiences were considered. But after all these years, with nothing else worthwhile in the intervening years, I'd say he has milked that respect for all it was worth, and the cow has run dry.

As to McCain masquerading as a Republican -- no, he is what the Republican Party is now.  The party gave up any semblance of conservatism and is now a facsimile of the liberal, socialist Democrats.
