UPDATE 4:35 PM: The Women’s March on Washington has removed the pro-life group New Wave Feminists from its list of official event sponsors after backlash from feminists arguing that pro-life women are not welcome in the feminist movement. One of the most prominent of such responses:

    Intersectional feminism does not include a pro-life agenda. That’s not how it works! The right to choose is a fundamental part of feminism.

You can’t march with us: The faux inclusivity of the Women’s March on Washington

Individuals planning to attend the Women’s March on Washington on Saturday are quickly learning that not all victims are created equal. The New York Times recently ran a piece on the racial tensions among protesters. The article highlights the experience of Jennifer Willis, a 50-year-old mother and wedding minister who was planning on attending the Jan. 21 event with her daughters. She backed out, however, after a post on the event’s Facebook page made her reconsider:

The post, written by a black activist from Brooklyn who is a march volunteer, advised “white allies” to listen more and talk less. It also chided those who, it said, were only now waking up to racism because of the election.

“You don’t just get to join because now you’re scared, too,” read the post. “I was born scared.”

“This is a women’s march,” Willis told the Times. “We’re supposed to be allies in equal pay, marriage, adoption. Why is it now about, ‘White women don’t understand black women’?”   ...

Massive Women's March crowds swarm DC Metro

Social media was flooded with photos of women arriving in D.C. for the Women's March on Washington on Saturday morning, with Metro stations and streets covered in participants.

Tens of thousands are expected for the march. Some are already speculating that the crowds could surpass those of President Trump's inauguration a day earlier, though current estimates predicted otherwise.

On my FB wall, I'm seeing acquantances all over post local marches. Dallas and Austin both have sizable marches. Even all over Europe. There was a lot of social media build up to this and a lot of organizing. The groups behind this found ways to leverage social media globally. I'm seeing local people who aren't even politically active take part in these.

42% of women voted for Trump-and that is healthy percentage when running against a woman. (53% of white women, 4% of black women and 26% of Latino women.)

Heard an analysis of the crowd at this march and it seems most are young (malleable and without life experience) and a bunch of tired old feminist left-overs and lesbians who are trying to relive their bra-burning glory days. They surely don't represent me. I wonder how many of them have jobs and pay taxes. They look idiotic in their pink hats and seemingly care for nothing other than birth control and abortion.

The fact that many pro-life women don't appreciate Trump's degradation and predatory nature needs to be heard loud and clear.
